i just got lvl95, what should i do as tank on normal octav?

 

go to octavis without saying that it's your first time... when in ask the other tank for help

at first stage try to stop him by using aggro and rage aura
at second stage tank him or golems
at third stage tank the minions

or you can go fenris' style:

1) afk whole first stage like a boss and pretend you are afk : d
2) afk 5 min on begining of second stage and come back when party will almost scream on you : )
3) do normal third stage

at first stage target octavis or those pets?

 

beasts, you have to stop them as many times as you can.

 

1 stage - in order to hit octavis, beasts must have hp below 55%. usually, due to low speed of tanks, you stay on octavis path and try to aggro bests so they will stop to run around for a several seconds. this will helps dds to hit 'em.
2 stage - octavis is put to the corner and tanks' mission is to aggro minions (there will be a lot of them) to prevent it from killing dds, especially octavis' gladiators
3 stage - just hit octavis (asap there is not much minions)
