Problem with launching the game

i think my post above is solution - just copy and store somewhere lineage2eu folder.

 

it's depend of cfg other pc.
i copy my client to friend pc and no problem.

 

i suppose that its about installation path in 4game app. when u chagen id, 4game didn't saw game anymore so u could not play.

 

hi, same problem here : i hit play, frost "back.bmp" shows up then nothing.

i have xp sp3 updated (including ie8) 32bits
avast av, disabled and exceptions added on whole 4games dir (launcher + game) edit : even tried uninstalling it, to no avail
kerio fw, disabled too
firefox 8.0.1
uninstalled all visual c++ version
installed on default directories (this installed two version of visual c++)
hamachi installed, but disconnected and network disabled (friends reported working with hamachi connected)


at first i had no play/install button but disabling fw seemed to fix it

tried removing system and frost dirs and update cache then fixing game
no "host" file on my windows/system32/...
no proxy set up in ie settings

yeah, except it should not be temporary but permanent : weblauncher is just ****.
using frost instead of gg seemed like a good idea at first, everyone hates gg, but i had more issues with frost in 3 days than i had with gg in several years.
wish they could use a simple custom system dir like every pserver does ... it might be "official" server but it's exactly the same as a pserver as it doesn't use the official login server.

i was reluctant to come here because of the premium accounts and cash shop, if my friends didn't come here, i would have given up long ago... maybe it's the sign i've played l2 for too long

 

little update of my case:

i have installed a seven x64 on dual boot and the game accepts to start there.
using ie because there is no cake on ff's page, but still it's working
i've been playing for a while and fortunately didn't get disconnected, at last one glitch i didn't get

so it's not my hardware's fault !
pc - router - modem (numericable box) with my pc set as dmz, gonna try without port forwarding next time i restart


then i remembered that after pissing users off, the gg/frost/similar things's aim is to prevent cheating. could it be that having the autohotkey compiler installed (but no script running) cause all of this trouble ? (see also autoit, high grade keyboards / mice)

 

only on eu version you can not play if you are using router and you can not open ports for communication. why do we need to do that? tell me a name of another mmo that needs this to play on their official servers.

 

actually, it works without any port forwarding.

however on my clean 7 os, i can't get the overlay of ts/mumble to work (while my friends' does) nor push to talk will work while l2's window is focused (fullscreen nor windowed)

 

newest update didnt fix anything.
seems that im not going to be able to play on innova.

 

@altaric, no1 ever said its hardware fault. its software fault. obviously, clean os allows u to play. but ur regular soft conf do not allow u to play. 2nd thing, run muble/ts3 what ever u use as admin and it will work.

 

after currently update i have error game path is invalid(..\system\l2). how to fixed it????

when i click on update and click "now" nothing happens...

edit: now it goes but tells me to uninstall 4 game...so i uninstalled and reinstalled it but when i go to the site i see always "update" and not "play"

 

i always use admin account on windows.
and strangely, overlay and ptt started to work properly ... go figure ...

now play appears but the problem is the same i had before (image loading disappears)

 

no it happens to me too and the button play doesnt appear at all.

 

doesn't the 4 game launcher download and install the eu version of lineage ii? or i have to download the client manually from other sites or whathever,if so well it's a really bad launcher. oh and yes i have already turned antivirus firewall off and tried to exclude the 4game.exe launcher

yes i wanna thanks to icehowler and radix for helping me.. it took us,actually them :d , 2 days to figure out what the problem was , if you played on many private servers , like i used to check the thread above tgm posted.this helped me and i hope it will help you also.thank you very much again radix and icehowler , you 2 are my heroes! :* :d

ehm why you are here?dont you have bugs to fix?ahh ye sorry its not a bug its totally fine that a non existing item needed to craft cheap duals so 1 of the most important class cant play properly ye thats not a bug thats just fine...

jesus christ what a useless team...ohh and by the way your support is by far 1 of the worst ive ever seen so really dont post such marketing stuff while we cant even play properly with important classes.
