Can't Login after Maintenance Tuesday, 25th December

    guys, i found out that ncsoft na has the same problem since the last update (19.12.2012) and still has no fix for this issue, no l2 for windows 8 users for now...

    i have a 7-days exp rune opened + pa, it will be fun if they dont fix it today.

    i have the same problem. this is not the way to handle ur customers. i played fine until the patch and now it wont work.

    i run the newest windows 8 with auto update, in other words nothing fancy this is the version all supposed to have now and should be considered the normal version.

    i tried:
    removing firewall
    removing virus scanner (avg free)
    reinstalling 4 game launcher
    reinstalling l2

    nothing works, and this is far beyond what u can expect from a normal paying customer. so get it together and admit u made a mistake and roll the servers back to the old patch, no shame in making a mistake but then act on it and repair it.

    i have noticed u now and i expect to be refunded from this date til u find a solution, i pay for 2 accounts and if u have any respect for ur paying customers u would come with a good explanation and not this lame message that there is being worked on.



    ps. have a nice x-mas and i hope u can fix ur otherwise exellent game soon! :)

    i got same error. that after you click play. frost runs then after that nothing happens, but the funny thing also it creates a l2.exe.exe in system folder.

    as i told sooner, they wont have fix today, neither tomorrow. ncwest has this problem from 19.12. and still no fix, dont expect innova will solve it any sooner. but i digged up that problem is engine.dll, if someone of you has backup before update, try to rewrite it and it should run. maybe... :p

    i replaced engine.dll and now the game is working ... but after choosing the server i have "you have been disconected from the server. please login again."

    one step closer to play the game .. any other ideas :d ?

    then just roll back the server settings to an old patch that works, or even worse why would u run a patch like this when u know this problem will come.......

    hi i can't log to game.my operation system is windows8.i update and restored click play and dosn't work. please help. yesterday all worked well on w8, today after update, cant run the game. help

    i check my client with check4game now and i missing some files.
    text from check4game:
    file is not found | system\frostupdater.dll
    file is not found | system\gameshielddll.dll
    file is not found | system\frost.ico
    file is not found | system\frostredirinfo.dat

    hi i can't log to game.my operation system is windows8.i update and restored click play and dosn't work. please help. yesterday all worked well on w8, today after update, cant run the game. help

    check4game automatically removes those files, fix your game in order to get them back

    i still get those errors even after i did restore game.

    and the files is still missing in system folder.

    does any one miss those files? other than me? :)

    guys, this has nothing to do with frost or missing files, the problem is in game engine. we cant solve it by any means, we have to wait for koreans to fix it :rolleyes:

    actually, there is one 100% fix - install win7 :)

    hello ppl,

    unfortunately to say, after this patch it is not possible to log in to the game if you have windows 8. we are sorry for any inconvinience caused.

    i will notify you about the progress in that matter

    they should go back to last good working settings asap and thousand times check next update before go live ! it's a shame. for me it doesn't matter, but for people who pay for game, used special items (rune) etc. it may hurt :eek:

    great, nice x-mas pressent for us then :( guess we will wait.... and if u have windows 8 is kinda ******ed, windows 8 is the the standard now and i think u are underestemating how many people use windows 8! this should be code code red for u guys, even though u claim to be donation based people will certainly not donate if we cant get in and loose the things we payed for, because u decide to install a patch that has a huge know issue with windows 8.

    i quit from pa because of there **** service, and many did. pls dont go the same way.

    i got the same problem...was working fine till todays maintance and i have to log with other hdd with win7 to play it :s
