Suggestion about siege lags

first of all i want to start by saying im not interested in any stupid flamming from so called "pro's")

the complaint is this: we are an "official" server, as far as innova says, but u admins dont act like it. im sure u hade plenty of complaints about lags but nothing has been solved. so, where is your feedback, problem solving?

during every siege, vs blackswans, there are gigantic lags, once u enter the siege zone. and , like a miracle, bs dont have them (though they scream on hero shout they do, everybody sees the moving and killing normally, while the other clans can barely move).

so, could the developers/admins of innova do something about the lags to improve server? isnt that ur job? instead of stupid events ( screenshot of the week, wedding etc etc), maybe u should focus more on the real problems of the server!

maybe check if some illegal programs are being used (case i know for a fact some ppl use tracking programs, targeting programs, but even if we show u proof, u dont ban them. why? heavy donateurs) and punish those that are using the with permanent ban not just 1 week ****ty ban?

this would really help the server, much more than the "osam" events that u do. i know its hard to look beyond the euros, but give it a try.... u are playing under the franchize of ncsoft and therefor u "represent" them and their name. to bad u give it a bad name

that was all. i know it wont change anything, but had to feel better by posting it

cheers

i can sign below of that

believe me, bs has same huge lag as you have. when ooc+rg+ob ran into the siege zone, whole my party (and as i heard many party in clan too) couldnt even do one step, so stop talking that we ran freely

so please innova do something with this freezes in mass pvp!
thank you.

ask glaeran (healer from ydo party in rg). he was watching our siege in heine via crystal in town and he confirmed both sides had like 60-70% pppl staying in 1 place and doing nothing on massive lag. after some % of ooc started dying lags went off (around 15-20% of them) and for most ppl it started be playable again.

and stop weak propaganda with some programs, cause the only party who were using it was kardi4ki party which emo quited hard some times ago. next time wanna fraps from my perspective how it goes when your +250 zerg rush on us?

/confirmed.

for me as a player but also observer (especially during last siege) it was pretty strange. cause innadril was the only siege where pepole were actually lagging. i was watching giran and gludio in the same time. of course you can't compare numbers on sieges, but the really strange thing is that the 90% of lags here appears only during mass pvp bs vs ooc/hi (hi previously) during dragons/camp/siege doesn't matter when doesn't matter about numbers...

6 pts th vs 6 pts rg/ooc -> almost no lagz
6 pts bs vs 6 pts ooc/rg/ob -> "ommgg soooo lagzzzorrrrr, i can't do sh** dafuqqq"

:|

well from my perspective it is like: when +200 ppl appear in 1 place lags start. some ppl got lags when 200 is on, some start suffering from 250~~ some ppl simply start laging only from ~~100.

i guess there is something wrong with heine region because when i did huge pvp in aden castle, antharas or valakas, i've less lags than doing it in heine castle. it might be how the area of heine castle is designed : too many layers to load and this sea ?! :d.

when i do castle siege, i change all my settings to display everything on minimum, removing even damage text, life bar, name etc so i can enjoy playing siege. i confirm that during heine castle siege, each time entering siege zone means getting a freeze for several seconds.

i did experience a same case during an aden castle siege and also got lag when doing olympiad during siege time. i cannot remember the date.

anytime we had mass pvp during siege (mostly aden in last months) there was the same - lags. but imho worst lags always we had on aden. sometimes hardly 150 ppl and i started lagging while on heine needed full ooc zerg force rush us to start lagging.

true story. aden is worst of all.

situation about it is pretty strange.. even as a member of ob even before our ally with hi/ooc while we were defending giran/innadril/w.e from enemy we didn't suffer so mucho from lags untill attacker was bs. no lags during thehorde attacks. no lags during ex aurora attacks. no lags also during pvp with errors or w/e. just with swans.

weak propaganda about lag-producing programs is really weak and i don't really belive this bullshiet, and if some people even try to concider it as something probably to happen they're idiots. trying to flame and accusse enemy in such way for me sounds like really weak excuse... unmatched ally lost cause of aggro, lack of organisation and bla bla. remember also that they weren't able to ress each other, and route from innadril to castle is really long. eot.

both sides suffered from lags.

well i just want remind you in that time you speak about there was never such a zerg like it is now. when we had aden it was like ~~120 vs ~~200. now is more close to 80 vs 250-300 (+ some randoms around like ltunited who had online around 30-40 acording to my observation). so you have much bigger zerg and those numbers creating lag for both sides. just the question if inova can do something with it?

confirmed, never had these massive lags before glory days update, i mean they are pretty recent, and also they appear only during sieges, it only happened. besides siege, some time ago during 1 valakas pvp we had lag too, but that was it (i think it was the fight before we entered with iss cele).

i don't know if error and the horde had lag in gludio yesterday (i suppose they had it), but in my clan (enclave) a lot of people was suffering lag too. so it's not only in heine; however, i suppose it was worse in heine because there was more people there.

in gludio we had lags, but still it was playable. than we go to oren, where was zerg of primalfear and their ally. we go just solo clan, but totally unplayable. basically it was 60 th vs 200+, lags 15s +. when i stayed behind command channel, no lags, so i dont know, mby some programs or just bad internet connection from my side or from innova side. mby some gm can check upstream/downstream during sieges.

i have small "nasa" pc and when was siege i had usually 5-15 sec lags...with lowerping no lags (only fps ) till yesterday...but max 1sec sometimes...so it can be something with connection like logy said upstream/downstream during sieges....server was during siege in heavy status

it is natural that each side of cw blame another one for using "lag-producing" programs - propaganda etc. , but seems innova has real problem with their server. people with good pcs have to suffer from lags without any reason... and its getting worse!

getting worse? nope, just same **** like it was 1 -2 or 4 months ago.

i dont lag. some few fps lags ofc (no pc can handle it fully fps lag free i guess, except going very very low range + details) cuz of max display limit but else i can move normally and play.

conclusion: everyone move to germany, dont use battleping in mass pvp (solo pvp's = better, mass pvp's it's worse with battleping), get a good pc(+ssd+cpu+ram+gfxcard).

great solution bro! anyway i would liek to hear from inova if they can try handle it in other way than say to players: "move to country xxx" : )

:d best ping here (or anywhere very close to server) with good routing

ofc i had also sometimes this moment when i couldnt do sht.
but it was very rarely and only when my internet was being abused by someone else or battleping was on.

it's server connection problem. i had better connection before december, but since december i need to use battleping to do something on sieges. lower details + battleping and i could move, target, mark etc. rest of my party (w/o bp) couldn't do anything until some of enemy died. no matter if it's innadril, aden or antharas/valakas entrance. there are allways huge lags if some number of toons are close to u.
