Intruder Who Wants the Book of Giants QUEST

i play dwarf and now i have problem in this quest <<intruder who wants the book of giants>> . my level is 7. the quest requires to open and read some book the there is in museum. i move there that there are 4 desks with books. i open the first book desk and after few seconds appears a text <use your skill attacks against them!>, and nothing more......trying to fight with the mobs thieves i couldn't defeat them and finally my character died.....i tried again to open all 4 book desks, but without any result or progress.......
please, is there any useful information to solve this problem?

 

u have to use skill on thieves -spoil and after atack
y i know it sounds funny -but it how it go -u have to use any skill on them if u want to kill them

 

i tried to use any weapon like sword, dagger, bow etc, but can't kill the thieves. spoil skill is use to collect items and not be used for combat. i suspect that there is some other trick to pass this quest step other than fighting with these mobs. please, if anyone passed this quest recently is requested to help me....... many thanks.....

 

i dont get it -u trolling or just dont undestand?
its says to u use skill-so use any skill -in ur case it spoil skill
so use spoil and after atack

this quest is designed to teach you use skills.
maybe you should try only use skill on mobs - not use the weapon.
unfortunately can not login to test that now.

ok lets try from begining
u go to museum-see 2 thieves -atack 1> spoil > atack =dead thiev //repit whith 2nd thiev
what where u didnt undestand ???
created new character/dorf lvl 7-spoil skill learned -did like i say -everything works fine
so stop trolling.

 

after you hit them once, just run and the guard will kill them. at least that's how it was in the dozens of times i did it. :d
