    my sword is pvp-enhanced.
    i wonder if there is
at least a bit of smallest chance
    for pve-increase.
there is a way to prove it true
or false. i have no doubt,
this is a useful task to do,
    a test to carry out.

myth: there is an assumption that weapon pve enhancement, apart from increasing damage on mobs, enhances damage in pvp and vice versa.

test: we took two level 99 tyrr warriors and the level 97 monsterorbis' victim.
the first tyrr warrior will attack the second one and the mob using four differents kinds of weapons:

[IMG] amaranthine dual sword - haste (733 p. atk.)

[IMG] amaranthine dual sword - haste +9 (859 p. atk.)

[IMG] dark amaranthine dual sword - haste (849 p. atk.)

[IMG] bloody amaranthine dual sword - haste (849 p. atk.)

to rule out damage variation, we are going to use the [IMG] mega strike skill against the character and the monster.

+9 dual swords were used because their p. atk. is comparable to that of pvp- and pve-enhanced dual swords, so that the swords used for tests 2, 3 and 4 were only different in terms of their type.

the results obtained were recorded in a table:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
     in pvpin pve+0 dual swords10982065+9 dual swords11422153pvp swords13082144pve swords11372456
conclusion: as we can see from the table, pvp and pve enhancement only gives a bonus to the corresponding type of attack. however, one should remember about the increase in the weapon's parameters, which enhances damage in both pvp and pve.

    interesting test, some thoughts:
what's the patk (in comparison to a normal weapon) of a +4 pve weapon? also i'd like to know if pve/pvp weapon can be enchanted after they have been upgraded.

as previously mentioned all new/additional requests belong in the requests thread but we are at this time not taking any more requests due to lindvior update coming in the not too distant future (no we do not have an exact date yet so dont ask :p)

    regards.

irrelevant, thats the system inplace. it keeps things more organized for staff to only look at one thread for a list of requests instead of searching through 20+ threads and xxx posts to find anything and reduces the risk of a users request being overlooked and missed and therefore giving the false "they dont care" assumptions so kindly follow the system as its beneficial for all.

    regards.

ye bout i'm asking a question related to the same test, on ncsoft atleast they answer and they even improve the tests based on user feedback, this system isn't smart.

and half of the tests done here are useless or badly made... so maybe if you'd listen to the opinion of the community you could improve.

we are not ncwest and we do not do things in the same way as them, we have our own methods and proccesses and ways that work well for us, the experiments are not "changed" if we test "new" elements in a similar experiment it is done seperately to avoid confliciton or confusion therefore we keep all new and/or extra requests to one place so the staff arent wasting their time scrolling through many threads to find the odd post here and there and can spend their precious time doing the experiments and their other duties and as already said there will be no more new requests taken on at this time as we have a nice list of experiments already queued up to be tested and posted and by that time we will have lindvior and therefore new elements that you will all want testing so instead of trolling please just accept the fact that we work our way and we have a system that is beneficial for all.

    regards.

what they are saying is that they do not want feedback on any test they do so there for should lock the threads after the test so we can just read as people just get shot down for giving feedback on the tests with no useful reply.

thank you and good test :)

no, feedback is not what was discussed, additional and new requests were discussed, please do not make false statements to mislead other users.
