tags: [skills] two iss sword muses, equal in power! equipped with good ol' epic jewels! whose song of silence will be louder? who'll be the winner in their duel? purpose: in this test we will see how the success rate of mass song of silence changes when old (normal) epic jewelry is used: zaken's earring and antharas' earring. we will do three tests. test conditions: in our first test, one level 99 iss sword muse will be using mass song of silence against another level 99 iss sword muse. both characters are without equipment or buffs. then, we would like to test the protective properties of epic jewelry. to do that, the second iss sword muse will equip two earrings: zaken's earring and antharas' earring. finally, in our third test we will check whether the earrings still increase the success rate of the new “silenceâ€. the first iss sword muse will also equip a zaken's earring and an antharas' earring, while the second sword muse is still equipped with the same jewelry he used in the previous test. 100 attempts will be made for each test. this must be sufficient for spotting the difference, since, if the earrings still provide the effect, altogether they are supposed to give a 50% bonus (to attack or defense). the results are shown in the table: EquipmentChanceno jewelry65earrings (defense)5arrings (attack + defense)59 Conclusion: judging by the test results, we can say for sure that zaken's earring and antharas' earring give a bonus to both attack and defense when the silence skill is used by sword muses. although in our test the defense bonus equaled 60% while the attack bonus equaled 54%, there are no grounds for assuming that the bonus is different from the 50% indicated in the game. a slight variation is due to the fact that during the test we used a minimal number of attempts.
thanks, it's a big difference from pts as there with epics i didn't land a single silence :d though heard guys having difficult times to land it in live anyway ><
with lvl 1, on soa repti, used 3 times (each on 2 group pulls, 0 lands). works on kartia mini bosses though. (and weaker mobs, like swamps, etc.)
the problem of this test is that targets were tested unbuffed. in real pvp targets have mental protection buffed which gives +50 to mental defence. i bet that with this buff on landing rate would be laughable, even if attacker had bj on and defender didn't. pretty much what happens with iss' dark root skill.
