Bring Evolutionary Road Back.

well generaly i just read and dont reply but made a account specially for this, even tho my main might be 90+ i still voted yes because if you cannot see what it is doing to new players and existing players u are truly ignorant and blind. to sum it up:

1. totally new players will have a very strong feel of disappointment and progression which will kill them off before level 85 really fast.
1.1 players who like to make an alt or (yes some) enjoy leveling a new character have to spend enormous amounts of adena to npc shops not player shops
1.2 players from other l2 servers might know how l2 works but will progress so slow and feel very very far behind for a long time.
1.3 players from ncwest who like to play innova because of several reasons are held back ( we want those (legit) players! )
1.4 players who like to return probably find themselfs with no gear, no adena and no starting point.
2 economy is taking a huge hit, its basicly a money sink to npc shops as a result it is stagnating, people are hoarding lower lvl gear, nothing is for sale only in npc shops for ridiculous prices.
2.1 players will be spending all there earned adena on shots and other bits and pieces to (again) npc shops instead of the player driver economy.
2.2 players who (ignorantly) buy other gear will find themself adenaless when they really need it, the result is known.
2.3 obviously with drops nerfed, small community, there is no replacement for the evo road in the game.
2.4 steel door coins system is flawed it should not take you to 85 to buy half a set and a wep. as i understood in korea they have different ways to get these coins.

the rewards of evo road were to much we can all agree on that, dumb it down abit. only some gear, shots and maybe a vit pot or 2 to keep ppl going to 85. they can then later on use the coins for subclasses etc. everyone happy! i cant stress this enough with current expansion, crafting changes, level cap, player amount etc we need to give new people and others in general a boost to the 85 content. doesnt have to be huge but do has to be more then now.

ps. owyeah i dont believe it needs technical changing as the delivery system with the wh has not been changed.

 

i agree with what tomaka said, evolutionary road could be re-implemented as is, or without the buff pots that kind of are useless now.

 

well i finished reading ths thread, and as a possibly new player to innova this descourages me. i played l2 on ncwest when it went f2play, pa was awesome (i leveled without a mentor because back then you needed to pay for it like ~20kk). me and my friends got lvl 85 in a week or two. the real game began, we explored the new content and made groups untill lvl 86, then almost all people started to use bots, and week after week they gain more and more avantages, our adena worth and items was like 15$ on a adena seller, we decided to quit. we came back after ~2 years and found livindor getting exp 85+ is easyer i made 86-87 in 3 days with daily quests (soa/tere/k85) but what a big surprise, these are the only things that you can do there all active people log and play only for daily quests, after they just party with bots,farm with bots and pay for adena. server economy is very unbalanced and the only things you can find to buy are jedi weapons and oe boss jwl and of course more adena, people have enourmouse amounts of adena but no items. i have carefully readed most important threads here and decided to move here (btw eu server is a brand new lineage to me after ncwest "heavy-laggy" gameplay), now i have come across this new sistem with coins, who can accept rolling to a harder game style? it is fair to new players the new system ? simply not, most of the people here haved leveled if not with a mentor, with pa in some times where you can find pr0 full partyes at any level, and after the mentor sistem with 200% exp bonus and potions, as a newcommer my future friends and enemyes (dont understand me wrong i will never be the new owner of aden castle or a challenge to curent heroes) have 95+ lvl with oe gear due to mentee shop coins, adena start saved (no gear or ss needed untill 86+). call me a noob, but this new sistem is very unfriendly to new people. ncwest still keeps the new sistem for new players,only on sub you need to buy gear. as for l2 europe, get ffs some advertising i've heard about it from a clan member exactly like this "get on f**king innova, im tired about you qqing about bots all day", even dexternet is more popular than l2 eu. the only class worth playng with this new sistem is necro or summoner that arent very gear dependent. with some proper advertising and a friendly system for newcommers i think l2 europe will be a real succes. there are still enought players on ncwest that playfor fun but eventualy they will end up killed or humiliated by "xxxxelfuegobrxxx" who has 2 partyes of bot toons farming for him 24/7, or realise that theyr hard work values 50 $ on adena suppliers. bonus a free potato for the long post.

 

here on innove eu the game is more hard core than ncwest so you have to be pretty dedicated and love the game to want to play. you will seldom find any bots here but i agree the new steel door coin system is broken. on ncwest they feel bad for players so they kept the path to awakening as newbies there need all the help they can get.

you either like playing here or you don't, there is no in between.

 

i agree with you about the final part, and i can say in the name of 80% of newplayers that it isent anything to like in a mindless grind, full drops you sell to npc, lonelyness untill lvl 85. yes it is a good part of the game, the old part worth doing in the old times, varka alliances, it quest, toi quests , loa, gc , pi, hellbound were fun and worth doing when that part of the game had sense. i see now leveling 1-85 just 1-2-3-1-2-3 click click, pickup,pickup soe to town, buy ssd,c,b,a port to new hunting location. and you have to be very optimistic to think that moving to another server 2 years old , you will find rb partyes all the way to 85.

 

at this momments lineage2 is not newbie friendly at all.
first they took away this evolutionary road which kept people for improving.
second within lindivior they lowered adena drop rate , mentor percentage of exp increasment.
third they've removed undentified items which made economy hell hard for newbie player to adapts as there no undentified items he would be able to buy after he reach certain level and full items just cost fortune. so it just pushes people to go seek some help out of blackmarket where they get fooled and eventually leave the game leaving server population low.

 

i've always been a quality>quantity guy . do you guys think that lineage eu is gonna do something about new coin system? or only rumours?

 

i still enjoy playing here, even with the missing ev system since the quality here is above any other l2 server, retail or private. i made lot of friends, having fun ever since i moved here from ncwest several months ago. i will never go back to ncwest, it's too depressing and chronos is more of a second full time job than a game now.

i contacted support a week or so ago to report a bot and commented on the missing ev system. the gm commented that they are looking into a new way to help newbies.

 

for people who did not read the 'look at me i went to korea and took photo's' topic just created it held 2 sneaky sentences between photo's one of them was:

edit: after todays maintenance it looks like they lowered the prices off items for example a dynasty wep for 595.

 

you can stay in the c-grade gear you get from 2nd job change till around 65 before you really start to get too much damage and need to upgrade your armor. by that time you should have enough money to buy a lower a-grade set, but are still in trouble because of the weapon. 5 levels later you can buy a lower b-grade weapon from the giran luxerous shop and you can use that a-grade set and b-grade weapon to do your awakening quest. heck - up to level 70 i never used shots other than raidbosses.

and then 85 awakening... a problem..? not really... that a-grade armor and b-grade weapon is enough to do it. if you had a mentor (most likely since there are more mentors than new starting players) you'll have your free r-grade gear and are ready to start...

 

1-st i heard the coins are enough now (didn't tried it, but i belive innova)
2-nd you don't really need to buy b grade weapon, shadow weapons are as good as that
on other points, i agree :d

 

yeah heard that as well. didn't try (yet) since i have by now enough armor/jewels from the raid-quests and i did have 2 lucky top-b weapon drops. i'm fine for gear i think

not sure how to get shadow weapons. not to mention i have never liked the whole shadow thing at all. need to remove from equipped state when you log off or just walk around /camp raids and such. not to mention, having a (lower) b-grade weapon also allows you to exchange for an other one and/or upgrade to better one (and exchange then again). for altoholic players (like me) or ones starting on sub/dual immediately (again like me ) buying one is the best way to go. if a player just sticks to one char and level it to 99 before starting on sub/dual, then shadow items might be their best option...

 

why are you crying? it has been pretty easy for me to level up and get gear from the steel guild coins. if you have everything handed to you then where really is the fun?

 

i must say that completing all the quest's and subquests and so, i got enough coins to get a grade weapon at lvl 84, but they already took a lot lower number of coins needed, so maybe i try again, i still need to do a tyrr :d

 

you did something wrong (may be bought some jewel or something). before last update i had enought for a weapon on 70.

 

i just bought a grade weapon with 170 steel door coins and wasn't upgrade...

they changed it, really nice

 

i didn't bought anything ;_; maybe i missed some quest :/

 

before last patch, it was so expensive, i bought arcana set for 800-1000 coins, and now u have it for 200-250...

what happen? now i cant equip my subclases because i wasted all my coins and cannot do that quest 2 times.

1 week ago we got a patch, which made this possible (and ofc the good job of our cool innova eu team, who asked ab that the developers)...

 

this is one of the main reasons i love playing here, innova eu staff actually listens to their players instead of ignoring them like ncwest does.
