Bots at WoA

hey there,

one of the main reasons i switched to innova servers from ncwest is, that here the botting problem is nearly not existing.

always innova did their best to prevent people from botting but in the last days i continue seeing some people botting in woa. mainly wcs/ols and phantom summoners.

i managed to kill some (since iam se its easy for me to buff/heal the mobs and let them get killed) and the way they react is 100% bot like.
i did this for some time and not long after r grade people came to get me. i was running fast and was able to log out before they got me

but i think iam not the only one who realized those bots over there since i met many real players there asking them for the bots and they said they saw them too.

i strongly recommend the staff to check into this problem because sooner or later this will take over if not handled correctly and we will have the situation here like on ncwest and 99% of the people playing here like the fact that innova actually cares for their servers/custommers and provide bot free gaming experience.

like i said its one of the main reasons why people actually change servers.

please staff, check this!

and please dont tell me things like "you cant know for sure if those chars are bots etc etc"

i play l2 for over 6 years and i know people who botted on ncwest. i know how bots work and how they react and i know how real players react. those people are 100% bots.

well it would be nice to hear from staff what they're planning to do against the bots. i mean ... in town they keep going too. i've been reporting many many bots as well but they keep coming so something needs to be done...

 

seems server is too popular and ncwest dead bots is now zerging us... gl for gm's to deal with them ><

as for now the best solution is to report bots to the support team along with evidence (video would be the best).

 

enable bot report button would be nice, the active gms of the server could ban them at the moment :d

 

bot report button are active, i use it some times.

also, we need to take into consideration that, despite if u find some bots, its nothing compared to those botland on ncwest. so, even if are ppl using bots, they cant influence on the market/game since they are not too many.

also, there is only few bot programs working (real working, and evading frost security) on the server right now. and most of them are complex, and u need to paid a lot of money to get them. so, dont even think that we will be in the same situation that ncwest are, mainly because, in his bussines model, they support the using of bot (indirectly), and even worse, they make a lot of money with it (even unnbaning bot ppl). u never will find ppl like that here on innova

in fact, i'm doing more petitions since 2 weeks.
anyway the previous answer is a no-sense. try to seek arguments to downplay and accommodate frost issue with some scripts/software and write - "don't worry guys, it's expensive, we're safe here" - it's the first step to welcome them.

bot/farmer are the game curse since l2 's been released.
more right now since pro players need these programs to change adenas to virtual money (sell your own adenas on rmt platform) or pro players need them to pvp cause of nub skills or lazy players who can't xp themselves.

 

the fact that the bots are "only a few" does not legitimate the existence of them here.

even tough you are right, it is nothing compared to ncwest we should be aware of the fact that there are actually people botting here and something needs to be done about it as long as you can get the problem solved.

in the start of ncwest servers there were not everyone botting too.

 

botting is the reason i am right now checking out innova, i am tired of bot trains everywhere i go on ncwest, if i find similar situation i will stay on ncwest...
i really hope it is as bot free as people say, btw what is their view on macro keyboards?
the grind can get a bit repetative and i sometimes put toggle skill next taget and attack on my g110 keyboard but i am never away from computer, is this seen as botting?

 

it is legit to use macros and keyboards with additional keys. withing these macros you cannot make yourself healing below 30% for example or use some skills in some condition - in shortcut: to bot.

anyone from staff could reply to this? i'm getting sick of reporting bots in town, it seems impossible for the staff to put someone on bot-ban-duty several times a day? some bots stick around way too long... and it's not so hard for a gm to port to towns while hidden, watch shout for a few and ban the bots.

 

problem with banning spam bots is they just make new accounts so it is very hard for innova eu staff to keep up with it. you also have to remember that the staff does have other duties besides roaming the game looking for problems.

considering how bad the situation is on ncwest concerning bots and spam the problems on this server are almost non existent. i just block the spam using the /block function and it takes care of the problem, then every few days i remove them since they do get banned.

 

well i do see them being removed quite often, though it would still be nice to hear from the technicians what the status is. i mean it didn't work before because of frost, so i guess it should be possible to block this new wave of spammers too

 

frost only blocks 3rd party program, not normal log-ins so a basic macro script can be used without alerting the frost system. you will never get any updates from the tech team about banning or any type of status, those things are usually confidential and not released to the public,

 

whatever the spammers are using is not a basic macro spamming . check out the messages they spam, at the end there is a 4 letter code that changes every time. something is generating this which is 3rd party because the in game system can not do this

also why would it be confidential to let your community know that you are f.e. trying to figure out what the source of the spamming is. it does not reveal any specific coding or personal information yet it might trigger help from community
