New player looking for some info, please help.

hello everyone first of all i want to thank you guys for taking the time to read my post, and hopefully to answer some of my questions. to begin i think i should give a little background information on myself. i'm a us player who use to play l2 around the c4 days, i moved onto private servers when i noticed how terribly corrupt and bot infested the retail servers were. now, i've heard that l2.eu (you guys right?) are much better at keeping the servers clean as well as having decent not auto scripted pvp like na retail. so, please, is there any truth to this? i'm desperately trying to play lineage2 but i can't stand it when it's so overly infested with bots. now i know no system is perfect but are these servers cleaner than na?

onto my next question! i'm downloading the game and i imagine there are different servers than the ones on na so which one is absolutely the most populated? also this is a mostly english speaking server correct?

what you heard about innova eu being clean of bots and scripters is true but to be honest there is some botting going on but chances are you will hardly notice it. innova eu staff is quick to ban bots and cheaters and they are probably the most helpful staff of any retail lineage 2 server.

there is only one server here, core, so choosing one is not difficult but since we do not have bots and pvp cheaters here the population is small compared to ncwest. on here when you see characters running around 98% of the time those are real players, not automated programs.

one other thing is that we do not have a path to awakening system (on here is was called evolutionary road) so you will be using the steel door coin system like on korean servers; no free gear upon hitting certain levels.

the language within the game varies greatly but for the most part english is not a problem, plus the staff only communicate in english so no problem there either. you will probably get a few annoying posters who say differently about this server but pay them no mind, they are sad trolls who get their jollies of trying to talk bad about innova eu.

search the forums a little and you can see many other posts with former ncwest players coming here, me included. :d

ps: i am also from usa and even though the server is in europe i have little to no lag, not even during sieges.

as far as population goes? i don't mind it being on the small side, but is it a ghost town?

no, it is not a ghost town but you have to remember that this is a european server and thus is on a different time zone. there might be fewer players but at least you won't be fighting with waves of bots for mobs. :d
