Today's changes to the game

greetings folks!

while i was pleased to read that we'll have the letters' collector event, i was quite surprised with the following line:

adventurer's guide npc now buffs only characters of level 1-85 inclusively

so it's the end of buffs till 91? a bit sad, though it'll be nice to see iss become essential as soon as they awaken.

obviously no more buffs over 85 now so iss is needed even for low lvl activity

 

my 2 cents it should have been gone for long time. was sad making kartia 85 without iss (practicly, but still sad). since it is party orientated game, some isses was feeling useless (even though the iss debuffs are really good). and eh well, isses will start selling buffs again, since this kinda died after lindvior.
about letter collector event, i suppose there will be a new thread about it soon.

 

it means the end to solo farming... or people are forced to pay premium from 86+ to be able to have their own buffer...

on ncwest i could understand this as there is a 3 box limit so its easy to have your own iss box, but here with 1 box limit without pa it kind of ****s ...

why end of solo farming? join clan, play with friends. join clan buff with clan hall buffs. buy buffs from isses... who is solo farming 85+ anyway... oh w8, i do... and yes, i don't need a box to do so.

 

so you will go to town every 5 minutes to receive buffs? bringing a friend/clanmember for buffs isn't really solo farming anymore now is it? also clanhall buffs doesn't come with sonatas....

 

nope. every 30 minutes yo ull do that, and yes you can farm and without sonatas. what is wrong with ya people? you're doing so 91+ anyway!

 

well, i actually think it's no big deal. most "solo" areas are actually more enjoyable and profitable with one or two friends (one of them an iss ofc ^^) and gathering 2 ppl to party is not a difficult feat.

while thinking about it, i realized that i rarely xp alone, most of the time i can find a small party and don't really need adventurer guide's buffs anyway.

btw, i plan on doing small spoil parties every now and then, what's the population of othell fortune seeker like thes days?

 

gameplay on 91+ is a lot different from 85-90 i think. on 91+ you have a sh1tload of dailies to do on main+dual which will keep on going untill both are 99.

i love farming between 85-90 as it gives good adenas, but first getting used to farming with 1 hour buffs... and now be without sonatas again after 5 minutes. it's just stupid.

it wouldn't be a problem if you could just bring ur own buffer with you, but wait ... you're forced to pay for it now if you want to do this....

 

i was already against the 1box limit anyways as i think free 2 play should mean you can pay to enhance the gameplay, not to remove a limit (which premium doesn't even do, it just moves the limit a bit further until you pay even more). now with these changes i just hate the limit even more...

 

doesnt like this buffer removing too. now gonna have to make iss box.

 

but then you must pay :d. kinda like how ncsoft lowered global adena amounts and then came with item to improve adena drop, money money money

 

no man it s nothing like that.this was from day 1 the premium feature so is not new

 

did i say it was new? it just makes the one annoying thing on innova even more annoying. and for what? i don't get why they have to limit this buff function.

sure people say there were kartia parties going without iss, but the only times this happens its because there is no iss available. just like when there is no tank available you can take a tyrr. iss are still just as important for their debuffs and stronger sonatas (iss sonatas give more hp then adv guide).

so what's the reason for changing something which they didn't change on ncwest?

 

there is also slot for 4th dye. can some gm explain it? when, where and how we can buy/drop/earn dye for 4th slot?

 

i am not against that they want money. server needs some to stay alive and to upkeep stuff members(why you think some gone away?). but they could warn us like a week ago that they planing to remove buffer so we could do isses and prepare for this.

 

this preperation would've been nice yes ...

anyways 4th dye slot is for future purposes.

 

i don't believe that multi-boxing was ever intended as a feature of this game. as such, having to pay for something extra is not in any way a limitation of l2 gameplay.

and, even though i understand the fact that some prefer xp without depending on others, i still think that the removal of adventurer buffs for 86 and + is an incentive to party which is actually the point of mmo's and thus a jolly good thing in the end ^^.

 

just so you people know innova is bound by ncsoft korea to not release any patch information until the day of the maintenance, so do not blame innova eu for keeping you in the dark. also, the change to the buffer level limit was decided by ncsoft korea as well, innova eu had no say in the matter.

i imagine the limit to the buffer will be on ncwest as well when they do their maintenance tomorrow since this change is a developers decision

personally i was upset when they raised the limit for the newbie buffer to 91, made iss buffers useless until 91+. you players cry so easily and are quickly spoiled, but again this was a decision by ncsoft korea, not innova.
