Party Matchmaking - Full of rubbish

hello dear admins

i have basically one concern about party matchmaking. it is full or chat room "wtb/wts/scamers/mentors/cp offers/clan offers". it is very annoying when you are looking for party and you need get over for 5-6 offers that should not be in there, you need to scroll them over each time you enter party matchmaking to find something that you are looking for.

my advise to improve party matchmaking. i think having for example level 60 should allow you to create rooms only 10-15 levels above or below you. so characters which are created for sitting in towns with open shops (which usually have lvl 1-10) should not be able to create room between 1-99 level so everyone on server can see their offers.

also characters creating offers in 80-99 should be banned from pm for couple of days (someone should check pm regularly).

i think that would help allot and less people whould be annoyed by fact that they need to scroll offers which should never be there.

or let's leave the system like it is now (apparently people have use for the advertisement in the party matching (me included)).

 

i don't see any problem with that too. also can get info about scammer too. was nice before lindvior could ask for mammon location, now not hard to check 3 towns. :d

 

there are enough filter options to filter out the 1-99 rooms. ... just sort the list on lv limit and the 1-99 get all grouped at bottom problem solved

 

plus if you set the pt match for 60+ ppl would be unfair for the low lvl i believe cause i have seen many times party for rb 20+ lvl or 40/50+ lvl.i get annoyed to but as above mentioned i filter them by lvl.not anything is perfect after all...

 

and also, its a good way to still find cp/members, to sell something, to buy something.

even more, since party room is agrouped by his ticket nâ° (aka, time that they get created), every afk room will go down of all the others rooms, so, i dont see any problem with it.

 

me either. its never like there is a huge amount to scroll though.

 

what we see in the partymatching system is spam, nothing more (spam being defined as unsolicited -and in the vast majority unwanted- advertising).

no matter how you sort the list to avoid the spam, it is there and is annoying. that is the point of the original poster, and saying "its not so bad" is a valid opinion but does not change the fact that other people do think that it is "bad".

there are decent people and there are always a few bad apples who are too selfish. yes, of course putting spam "has a use" for the one putting it there. just like the dreaded email spam in real life still seems to be useful for the spammers. every person on the server who wants his voice to be heard could potentially just put an ad into the party matching system. but hey - almost everyone refrains from doing so, because they have enough decency not to spam their fellow players.

i wish the blocklist would affect not only chat, but also party matching entries. unfortunately i don't believe this wish will ever come true, so instead i would like to express my support for the originals poster opinion. however the suggestions about what to do against the situation are unrealistic. i doubt there is any chance at all to get the ingame system changed.

action against spammers would need to be taken manually by innova staff, which would require frequent surveillance. as much as i would welcome it, they probably will not be willing to put the needed work into policing the lfg entries.

 

also take actions against people putting trades in shout channel, heroes spamming their trades, the 20 lines of spam from server announcement, people who act like ******s, etc etc. they're there too and i'm sure there's enough people who do think that it is "bad".

if you don't know how to ignore this little bit of spam in party matching, you must be annoyed in real life a lot....

 

...says the one who thinks the own opinion is the only valid one. are you a psychiatrist or why do you make unfounded claims about other peoples real life? its fine if you are not annoyed by spam. noone judges you for that. you however think you have the right to judge other peoples opinion. i could draw a splendid comparison to your real life character here.

 

of course i have a right to judge other peoples opinion... it's still freedom of speech. you're the one taking it too serious, just like you do with the spam. if you can't handle this tiny bit of spam, which is easy to put out of sight since its not that much, then i simply wonder how you handle spam in real life since spam is all around you

anyways as long as the ratio of spam to real parties is not getting too high then i don't think anyone will do something about it. nowhere is defined that the party matching can only be used to find raid/xp parties.

 

freedom of speech grants you the chance to say a lot of things without being prosecuted by official forces of your country. it does not mean whatever you say is right just because you are allowed to say it. you certainly do have the "legal" right to judge other peoples opinions and put them down when they don't comply with your own views. other people may consider that rude, immature and egocentric.

as for this topic, i hate spam just as much as the next guy, but since there are so few party's listed there, at least this somewhat underused function of the game is able to serve an additional purpose. if i had to scroll through pages and pages of trade offers to find party's, then yes, i would agree with the original poster 100%.

 

use "my level" option on party matchmaker and you cut this **** spam as they mostly are lvl 1 toons in talking island

 

not working since those rooms are lvl1-99 so all ppl on all lvl can see them. if op idea would be implemented f.e. char lvl 10 could only create rooms for lvl 1-20 (or 25). and 10 levels margin should be enough since if you have in pt char which is 10 levels above you, you won't have any exp anyway. using "my level" option will filter the spam. without filter you can still see them all. imho that would be nice and easy to implement solution.

 

best solution for this is when youre creating a room you cant type but choose from list about missing class, place and other stuff..

i think we all see it everytime we open party matching rooms. 1 of 10 rooms are actually for party, while the others are "i rekruit polish pm me" and "i sell 10th so cheeeaaap trget aden".

i like lineage commerce and all the money moving between players, but i think everything has a place, and spamming on places like party rooms shoulnd't be allowed as they fill full pages of party matching windows.

since asking for an active gm cleaning this spam is not an option, something that allows players to "report" this spam-rooms (so if more than 3 people report it it is disbanded) or something like that would work wonders. or maybe just remove the "1-99 range" for rooms.

yeah, we all see those rooms spamming the party matching page (wtb/wts rooms, recruiting, scam reporting etc...) and i don't like it either....

i'd like a system in which a party room that has no activity for more than 5min (or 10min or else) gets automatically closed. (i mean no ppl entering, no change in rooms information etc...).
that would prevent the flooding of such rooms in the party matching system.

maybe for future upgrade, they can implement a pubblic wall in wich ppl can post such this info ('cause still, wtb/wts rooms, recruiting, scam reporting can be usefull somehow).
