well in other mmos after cbt characters are deleted and at obt server launch they arent. in other hand every official l2 server has its own pts, for those obt or cbt, it has nothing to do with live servers. i don't see any point or at pts characters will be deleted or not. probably game will have cbt, not avaible to everyone, just for in case testings in pts.
secondly, client had been tested and played at kroff and at ruoff servers for months, translation shouldn't harm game at all.

 

i vote for pts (wipe) and after a week off servers (no wipe).

never heard of a beta that kept the chars after the bea phase ended... not even 1 game. so ... chars will be deleted...

 

ok guys and gilrs. we are talking about beta etc. but for now we should to think about "how to get game client"....

 

maybe tomorrow will be published download option for those, who play in ncwest, but download can everyone from official website (?)

thats the russian client but im not sure updating the regional changes from there will be any faster than just downloading the old freya files and letting it update - l2.ru updater which i assume l2.eu will use a variant of is much faster than the ncsoft version

 

its standard now that there is no wipe after open beta, where have you been in last few years ? closed beta = wipe, open beta = no wipe and item shop is active.

 

aaa class type mmo games don't kept beta toons period.

 

aaa mmos are not f2p, but p2p so how they can keep toons from free to play ob into retail ? l2 its not new title, god is tested for bugs on korean servers and ru off, innova will test translations and server stability. not whole game. if they want, first few weeks can be named open beta and wipe is not needed if there will not be game breaking exploits. so writing that after beta, must be wipe is not valid. look at ncsoft they releasing god without pst, without beta.

beta will be hold on public test server (pts), which will be closed, wiped after the beta phase, and live server will be opened. don't ask stupid questions, staff has better things to do. (want to play qq <<)
