Complaints about moderators

haha yea that "dear ..." is really ticking me off. ;d
i wonder if it is due to some policy or just because they wanted to start writing it...

mod is mod, not community animator you aint get paid for being mod and you aint the game masters. imo you should just post normal, and when the situation needs it, then use divine punishment...

consider it as a gift ?

 

moderators and game masters do need to bring a certain level of professionalism into their "jobs". if they don't take their work serious, then who will take them serious? it's a matter of positioning yourself correctly.

 

1. moderators are not gms.

2. i agree with positioning part, and current moderators(with few exceptions) are doing it all wrong...

edit2 (qq): i think moderators will take it easier after a while and stop policing, its usually just the few first days that mods are so extreme due to their new position and they wanna do a good job etc... however i think applications would be a way better way of electing mods.

 

have no complaints about you divertino, you're ok in my book... so far.. your posts are the most "down to earth" of all the current moderators - that's good - you're one of those few exceptions i've mentioned.

i think 16 moderators are too much, maybe 8 or 10 is enough.....

 

post normal, we post as players also or in your opinion should we make new player accounts?
dear mr, was the guideline we were given to answer to players, not out choice.
and yes 16 mods might be many but is trial period, meaby not all will remain mods.

 

i suggest checking if a wannabe moderator is able to produce at least one proper english sentence before giving him the 'job'.
no offence, but if someone is only able to produce ponglish then let him moderate a polish forum but not the general international sections; it looks highly unprofessional.

o and last but not least:

 

maybe, if you were asked to be formal/official/modal - you'd be from top to bottom. not just first 2 words. - means no abbreviations and solid sentences ~men.
also, we`re not lovers or anything so lose the friking "dear" , mr. or miss. would be far better.

i hope guys, that someday we all find at least one moderator who will make all good for everyone but seriously, these are first days of their work, give them a space to show up and shine, or not. we will see.

 

it's fine that you want to defend your friend, i understand and admire that, but can you teach your friend decent english in one week?
