hello guys, i have been wondering, is it better to keep spaming marks for 30% less defence on target, or would the damage be greater if i keep transformed (like, unicorn, golem etc.)? that's for my dual class
for me marks (plus force solidarity and transfer pain) > transformation. probably there are some situations in which transformation is better choice (as for some of the raids), but these are my personal 2 cents after lindvior update.
there is only 1 case when you do not have to use transform: a party with lv3 solidarity. in all other cases transform>marks. ofc, this applies only on pve.
really? like xp party in cr transform > marks? i am ofc not pro wynn, but for some reason i prefer the marks there and the fact that you can support that party with some cc skills.
i've never cared too much, since pve on transform is more comfortable than spamming marks like mad on every single mob. hence imo: - solo where mobs die fast, aka fairy and stuff you use transform -> re-use of marks wont make up the killing speed and you just go next target/atk on same spot. - party, if there are more dd's in pt, all dd's will get "stronger" by having weakness on the target, but also here: => single mobs, marks because these are usually tougher mobs. => aoe, transform cuz the pets aoe benefits from summoners p.atk and the chances of proc'ing the wrath trigger is higher. just my opinion though
i think marks are better if u are solo... reuse 3s, so u can do it almost on every mob easily... if u are with party, depends on situation... but usually healer lumi and iss enchanter debuff is enough to decrease defense by 50 % / max possible limit /.
cr may be the only spot left, where using marks > transform. there ofc could be more places which i do not remember now, but as hax said, basicaly only single mob exp is worth using marks, although not only marks makes the difference(jails, yokes, w/e more cc you can think of). anyway, it stays individual preference and as long as player is able to cope with different situations, there should be no problems at all.
