seriously you gave mod rights to anyone who asked for them without following any criteria, amazing.

 

this topic seems to have lost it's way so i hope you don't mind the quick recap of the original post. it seems clear to me the part about actions good or bad being the subject of discussion here. not grammer, not presentation not personal slights in either direction. however my personal opinion would be to go with either a title of prospective moderator until the position is granted following the 2 week trial period or to create a seperate moderator identity with a standardised look for these purposes. whilst keeping the players individuality as part of their original accounts persona. this prevents sniping by those whose complaint is more to do with their opinion of you as a player than your actions as a moderator. perhaps complaints here directly at the moderator in question is a good test of conflict resolution but in any other organised structure it would not be usual. the complaint if not handled on a one to one basis, away from being aggrovated by those just wanting to see a good scrap / fight, should be made to the person one step up in the organisation who can take some effective action or make a final decision and lay the matter to rest. prolonged, drawn out, back and forth posting on matters is how perspective is lost like this.

perhaps as part of the original opening post the expectations on the moderator and forum users should have been stated or links provided to 1) moderators rules and 2) forum rules so that it is clear as to what is considered a violation in clear view of the place where it is being discussed.

dear players, i would also like to point out one final thing and put this matter to rest, all threads started by moderators, are in most cases approved by admins. that is to defend us mods for being said that: they do not try to give answers instead of authorized persons (innova's team here).

im against for the flame section that has been mentioned before. this is just something that doesn't fit for any kind of official gaming boards and made the whole community look like really silly. let this section not come to life and let it only for the private servers. just make an additional point into the forum rules that states clearly that such a behavior wont be tolerated on these boards.

first of all, you should take off from everyone's moderation powers, secondly you shouldn't give mod's rights to anyone who cried in your inbox, instead make a thread for those who wants to become a mod, with such small question that shows how that person is up to the duty, because right now i have seem moderators with:

- bad english, grammar, punctuation, fully writing of the words etc
e.g


no one repeats the same error unless he's really hungry, plus typing like this "u haf ben warned'; "lol u r way too far" is terrible
we all know if you want some respect you need show respect specially good english manners, you should write like any admin writes in the official facebook page or any announcement thread.

- they should know more than one language

- they should know the definition of spam/ trolling etc because receiving a warning while saying to an user to be on topic, it's kinda, well you know, bad way to give out a warning.



- they should know the list of abusive language, per example:

i've been say: "derpaherps" twice and that mod edited my post censoring those words.

take in consideration this, looks like you recruited mods from 5000x private servers.

 

well it was a general comment meant for all mods; if their posts would at least be free of spelling errors, it would all look a whole lot cleaner :x

but i couldnt agree more with these ppl , they are right , get some real mod's not just random ppl you made good choices also but most of them are bad :<

edit : ah btw you shouldn't hire a mod cause the number of posts he has , 1 person can have low posts number and big activity , so consider taking this job seriously or the forum will be a mess.

i guess you would need to contact incubus or handsofchaos. they are the only 2 mods who have jurisdiction in that subforum.

if i could i would have re-opened it myself by now, as i agree your issue wasn't resolved. however, i'm pretty sure (and would recommend) that a clean install separate from your previous installations would be best to avoid any file conflicts or client issues.

 

nothing against the rest of the mods yet (nothing that i can accurately formulate yet at least), but kall's english is hurting my eyes.

does the guy really use google translate? by the looks of it, i'd say 90% chance.

it's a disgrace to have such a person posting on forums as a mod. on the official forums.

if you want to give kall a little polski forum to play mod in his own language, that's fine by me. but he should be locked in there and you should throw away the key, because seeing his posts is making me sick.
