Char selection+Talking island+aden textures

hi all,
as i could read on on nc forum many ati users have my same problem...
cant see "char selection+talking island+aden textures" we see all white,except name of npc/chars on both clients.
i see a plausible solution on the other forum but wasnt for win xp and even if i can fix it remove other textures......

i had this when i tried to turn on improved shader effects and then forced aa in nvidia inspector. all textures just dissapeared, turning improved shader effects off helped me.

 

ati x550 256 mb...but ppl with 512 mb or more got this too!

 

ati x550 does not support shader 3.0, before god game just required shader 1.1, now it requires shader 3.0, so old graphic cards wont support some textures.

post it there, a lot of ppl can help. what we need is what mainboard you have,, socket , and graphic card slot, agp or pci-e ? and hows your ram ? is it enough for l2 ?

 

actually, i have old nvidia video card, which doesn't support 3.0 shaders, and didn't faced such problem.

you wont be able to see system menu and login window but if u type id press tab and type password you can log...for skill/map/actions use alt+keys
anyway i have intel pentium 4 3,4 ghz,asus p5gd1-vm motherboard,2 gb ram and ati radeon x550 256 mb...a friend of mine told me to buy the gts430 gainward 1gb...is a good option for my lolcomputer?:d

 

your friend is right its a good substitute, but you will get nowhere near its potential with the rig you have at the moment. i was unaware people still have pentium 4 cpu's!! ddr400 ram! oh my god its like a trip down memory lane
basically you need a whole new set up to get any potential out of a new graphics card. but with a new set up you will need. motherboard, cpu + memory as your current components are well past their time. sadly they're only good for the bin (as they wont fit any new components)

 

yes i know but i use the pc only for play l2 xd
even if i dont change the whole setup with that new graphic card and old parts my computer may works?

 

if you find graphic card that will meet lineage 2 requirements, it might start working, but still, it will run poorly.
