Account sharing

i'm not going to discuss about bans so i'd like to ask the superstar almighty moderators to not close this topic because i'm really looking for an answer.
we both know that more than half of the server shares accounts with family, friends or whatnot, and i also know this is the new way for polaks to secure their heroes, but i still think you should reconsider a change in your rules.

i bet this rule was made to prevent scamming but lets face it, 99% of times it's the user's fault to get scammed.
as long as someone shares his/her account, he/she then accepts the risk of getting scammed, you shouldn't get involved in any of this.
so why do you even care about these tickets?
i mean it's a pegi 12 game, we are far from the kindergarten so why do you (gms) act as some babysitters?
your only business here is to keep the server clean from bots, exploiters, cheaters, racist behavior and swearing.

giving people 7-days bans for sharing their account wont make your online statistics any better and we also both know it's not more than 1500-2000 on peak time.
it will set back your l2store donations aswell when these people will get tired of this crappy rule and how others abuse it to get a bit more power over others.

so my question is, don't you guys think it's ridiculous to ban accounts that are not involved in account hacking?

 

+1; this was already an issue back in the days and the rule was changed to not affect olympiad anymore and was changed to a "warning" / "3 days ban".
seems like quite a few blackswans like to take care of this rule whenever they feel their heroes are in danger :d

 

blackswans share their account/equip as well. i dont know from where u get info they will not. raxor playing ultimated, alarion playing leiry, ronove playing shimura etc etc etc.

there was another petition wave from their side, but obviously they'll keep denying it.

 

i personally dont understand some bs members and also some rg/ba members. well i doubt gm will change their rules as u wish, so just start account sharing petition wars.

 

acc sharing is ok. just if you lose items because of this you wont get help from support for that. and what if i share my iss with my friend? we both xp that char. so why we should get ban on that account?

 

dear users,

the statement of the game rules are clear - sharing account is bannable offense if prooved. but it doesn't mean gms will check every character whether someone share or not - it would consume way too much time.

we can compare it to the speed limit - when it say 60km/h it's safe speed if you will drive faster - you may get a fine (but its not 100%)

so if it's going to be prooved you may receive penalty as it is stated in user agreement.
