Items brought on AH from hacked accounts

i don't agree with last sentence.

it can't be compared to irl issues, irl we can have proof that what we buyed from someone is clean ( invoice / bill ), here you can't.

i do, as many people, play with ah to make money. ( stick on ah, buy low, sell higher )
at the moment, we can't have any idee if item were stolen.

and btw, only the "end-buyer" will be penalised, because imagine i buyed something low price from ah and then sold it to normal / higher price. end-buyer will never know it can be something stolen. ( based on what you said ). and you can be sure that low price items don't stay for long time on sell at ah.

 

i guess if you buy something cheap from ah now you should resell it immediatly, else you might lose it in 3 months...

sometimes people write wrong price, i forgot a zero in the end some time too. sure i recovered in time myself, but it happens enough that people don't realize it. now if you bought an item from a person that didnt realize it... you should worry for the next 2-3 months to lose it?

 

flaw logic. how on the world am i supposed to know that the item is stolen?
follow me:
lets say the x item lowest price on ah is 500kk.
now the "scammer/hacker" sells his y item for 490kk.
nothing suspicious u have your money and being a bit lucky, you spared 10kk, as you already had planned 500kk to spend on the specific item. now after 3 months your item is gone and u see only 100kk adena on your warehouse. do you see the flaw?
how is that righteous and justice for the legit buyer? so dumb logic.
you cant compare it to real life, because when i buy something i get a receipt. dont make me go to the fact that you get your money back on specific cases after you return the stolen item.
if there is one who should be punished its the genius who got scammed. as far as i know the only way to get your items stolen is by sharing account. so instead of patting this qqers back, he should be punished for sharing his account. (got stolen or no its another story).
anyway i really feel bad for you. if i spent 1b++ adena on something, and got only half, id probably not waste any time with l2, id quit and move on. seems the gm logic is...admirable lol.

 

as it has been stated by insomnia - gms may not know the current price for the specified item. let me quote it again:

if one feels he/she gets insufficient compensation, should she/he sent a ticket right away. i hope it's clear right now.

and the bold one is not truth i spend much more and that is the most important thing. like i said on ticket i want proof from gms from ah with those items price separately.

 

ok so sorry, but this is epic. since when is ingame feature "auction house" a place, where u can obtain illegal items? so if there is a possibility to obtain illegal items from ah, from where we should start obtaining items? from ebay?

 

there should be independent investigations into the items that have been "hacked" and sold etc. if they can trace the sale they must be able to trace the price paid at ah. the price paid should be refunded in full to the buyer and the original owner gets the item back. therefore there is no deficit in the server economy etc.

 

can anyone explain what kind rule is this ? if person got hacked .. and thief put in ah .. and innocent person bought and after 3 months they took stuff away from him lol ?
p.s is this trolling post or for real ?

 

best answers. keep in mind that we dont have anything to do with the stolen person, but if it's the rule, atleast pay each adena the person spent.

 

they don't must to pay anything ,but yet they can't simple take away itiem after 3 months .. not mention from someone who is innocent and bought fair from ah.... they must ban ppl who hacked and mailed to them self those itiems ..

gm solution is fair enough, but nobody is gonna be happy after 3 month.

 

this is just terrible customer support.

you should never punish the players like you are doing for those auction house trades. either find a better way to solve these issues or just stop interfering on the trades at all. in the end, you are punishing innocent players harder than you are punishing the scammers. it's unnaceptable.

 

well as new player here i would be angry if i buy twilight set fully atributed from ah ... and then after few months .. it gotten taken away .. cause someone scammed someone .. and im punished for that .. witch i have nothing to do with that

seeing something for low price for sale doesn't mean jack.

some people sell for lower cause they're in rush to to buy other item, for example i was planning to sell a talisman on higher price than i actualy sold since i needed the adena to buy another item, before some1 else buys it and i loose the deal in return.

you are stepping in on a steady cycle by disrupting trades and screwing players.

i just would like to know how someone "hacks" your account. never in my 9 years of online gaming been "hacked" on an account.

 

i would like to know as well , how they did it ... did they ask nicely in pm's to try they're char ...

 

well at this point i must totaly agree. how normal innocent player is suppose to know he buying on ah something what was scammed?

 

this happened to a rg member almost a year ago.
let it go. they wont get their items or adena back. we had to gather money from several people to buy him a new weapon, as he got 250m adena in the place of his r99 retri +300 + sa.
