L2 STORE RACE CHANGE

(dont get me wrong, i love my human and i know race change ticket will never be aviable, i got used to human decent wit, hell ! even getting max cap 1999 without anything special )

 

i think many of you forgot what was at the beginning with kamael summoners in final form, kamael daggers, orc tanks. and first thing that comes to mind is what happens with some racial skills. like my dorf has craft and if i change to l.elf what will happen with my crafting and recipes i learned. or some tank that kept pre-awakening skills changing race... seems too complicated.

but there is a major problem in that. and is (almost like everytime) the kamaels. kamaels cant use robes before awakening (including appearances what bugs me highly lol)... what if someone wants to have a kamael appearance for example, and is, sillen saint with whatever, apella robe appearance... what will happen to the clothes if he changes to kamael? they will be invalid?

 

try reading through the previous posts, we already talked about racial skills and how that will not be possible and people are speaking of wanting just a racial appearance without changes to racial stats, therefore as an example you would still be a dark elf but wearing the skin of a kamael.

a valid point and it would be something the devs would have to consider if they decide to make such a feature, but please remember that this isn't even something that is confirmed to be done or not at this point so everything here for the time being is "theoretical"

 

solution to kamaels not being able to wear robes before awakening is quite easy. the script to change race would just need to check if someone is awakened or not, and only make it work for awakened characters.

the only problem then would be if someone has kamael appearance and start to make a subclass. they should make a default look for every armor on kamael, kinda like for example vesper robe/heavy/light looks all the same on a dwarf

 

if i dont understand it wrong, devs already worked on kamaels wearing robes/heavy before awakening, and in the actual chronicle of korea (dimensional extrangers), they finally create the textures required for kamaels on all types of low grade armors, wich was also created in order to make able to kamaels to wear robes/heavy armors before awakening, so, it wont be a problem anymore (the debuff guilted body, or whatever it names, was removed from game).

about if this is developed or not, can u please tell us deep, if you at least take it into consideration (i mean gm staff of innova)?

 

all suggestions made in the feedback thread are taken into consideration, including this one, that's why we created this section

i would like to see a race change item added! i have always wanted to see one of these.

 

any info? i wanna become dorfy! would be nice to add also some app armors/weapons again :d

edit: also would be nice to get some old l2hair accesorys like half face mask white/black and some more

not really!

when you grab just common subclass, all stats and skills change. in old l2 you could pay at ncsoft to switch your subclass and mainclass.
if you did so, your race your turned into the one your subclass was bend to (so if i was a paladin main with a subclass of silver ranger, i could pay to switch and i would become an elf silver ranger main with paladin sub).

so it isn't that hard to do, in fact it used to be done. the only bad point is the problems awakening would bring.

i guess innova will just answer (if they do) with a "nope srry, we can't do this", since they can't even erase bots which is a basic issue that has followed us for years.

 

we have already replied and said that a race change (including stats) will not be possible and that we will only consider the racial appearance change but that we can not guarantee that this will be something that gets implemented or not.

 

one of my friends was kamael tyrr doombringer with heavy eternal armor and he put imperial crusader(or how it is called the s grade heavy armor) appearence on his armor. and when he wore it... he was wearing dragonic!!! so i guess his apella robe appearence will be turned to apella light armor appearence on a robe armor.. quite funny

sorry deep, i know you're just a forum mod, but its a known fact that the only problem of the game is that innova can't give to his players what his players need, which mostly are only fixes to make the game fair, such as bot control, or features that players would pay for, like race change.

again the race change was answered and it is not that we can not do it or that ncsoft korea can not do it but it is for the reason why the stone of destiny will no longer be available,the developers do not want so much unbalance due to racial changes and this was already explained earlier in this thread if you care to read it before commenting

 

has anything come of this? as a fairly new player i'm very happy with my healer, but am tired of looking at an elf in robes. as it was quite a drag leveling him up, a race-change would be interesting purely for esthetical reasons. the alternative would be to re-level a healer or dual one on my dwarf...

 

no, no!!! i like to be one of the 3 that i knew (dunno if there were more) that still plays , dwarf tank main class left! so many jelly! d: , i remenber, 1 dwarf healer, 1 kamael dagger & 1 healer, 2 orc tanks etc, its rare to see something different, it should continuing to be so, an rarety!
