anything? the thousand reports and alarion himself protecting his bots is enough. but dont worry, he wont be banned.

for god sake, logy for gm! that would be way better than just follow bot reports.
gm staff themselves checking for bots in theyer own + informing entire server and banning ppl who used the adena from bots or/and deleting those trades would be awesome.

this is true, but if they are visible on /gmlist all time people will just cry in towns for their names and be mad if they don't respond. in the end when players see gm online their brainless mode usually goes on and go "y u no fix this" "vitality pls" "y u online and no ban bot man" etc...

personally i'd go for a more aggressive approach of punishing bots. they don't care about server, all they care about is earning much adena in a lazy way... so the server should not care about them either and just give them a lifetime ban straight away. banning a 85 wynn for 30 days will not harm the owner for sure since they are leveling up 100 at the same time.

most important is to figure out what the leak in frost is and which main accounts are botting. banning their main will hurt them the most, unless it's adena sellers

 

you all cry , but let me tell you a secret . with this current update and updates to come if they would find a way to completely eradicate bots, like no bot program to work here , this game will die . why? because the way the koreans made the game is pretty ******ed , they made the game for them and the crappy ncwest servers where people have stacked hundreds of bilions of adena . where people farm 12h a day with their party for one week just to get a new item .

without bots core economy will die and probably the server also . only top players with stacked adena will be left . you guys need to wake up , gm's have no fault here, just the developers for destroying this game. they made the game anti- bots by reducing drops but in the same time they made it 4x times anti-players (bots farm 4x more than a normal player). now you play this **** game only if you are top player or close to top , or a sadomasochistic drugged person who loves reporting bots and farming 1 month for a new item . there is no place here for casual/normal people .

dude you cant blame koreans for making games for koreans, and l2 was always like this as far as i can tell, if you dont play 12+ hours you cant compete the best.
for the rest i agree, but i think that you cant play a game for the rest of your life, i mean most of us play l2 over a decade for god's sake!!!, its boring sometimes... thats why most ppl are not interested now, its old game with old game machine...

i'm not going to repeat myself again logy - there have been a number of reasons given already in the previous posts i made here but it seems you only read what you want to read so it is kind of pointless continuing with you

the gm's are actively hunting bots every single day (and no they wont do this on visable mode because it defies the point of being able to hunt them down if they can see them coming and just /off bot mode), frost is continuously being updated to combat updated bot programs but that is a battle that will never ever end, every time any anti bot system gets updated the bot programs will be developed to overcome it - that's just an internet fact and will never be solved by anyone as long as there are malicious people out there who wish to keep trying to break through security barriers.

none of you know how hard it actually is to ban bots, you make your speculations and assumptions without concrete facts - no matter how many times we try to explain it to you all you just believe what you want to believe so what's the point in you all discussing it every 5 mins?

technically, it was me, i just grew fond of that conversation and wanted to share it with community

@ all:
you are making good points - at one hand, bothunting is not as easy as it seems to many players, and on the other, we really do not cast much light on how bots are dealt with and it causes a lot of misunderstading up to conspiracy theories. lately i've been thinking how to resolve it in the easiest and most effictive way and in a few days i'll come up with some "bothunting policy" or "bothunting faq" or smth like that. it must make everything concerning bots more clear.

 

ofc i did. and nothing change the fact that all others got the joke only you did not.

on one hand, you ask gms the reports of their work but when they do you dont believe them (as in gm pazak statements about time of entering the dragon not long ago). guys, you are pathetic with such hypocrisy.
