Instance boss drop scam is legal!

so just 2 days ago i experienced some really unpleasant act of scam.
i was on octavis instance with 13 other people. by participating everyone agreed to redrop option. unfortunately one of the cc members picked up most of drops and logged out from game.
next i reported that player (xeiss) to our helpdesk with all needed proofs. the shocking answer was "its not against rules and user agreement".

now i must say theres something wrong going on! you people just allow players doing this!
if its not againts rules and theres no any punishment at all it will keep happening!
and the only ones who could stop this are innova staff i guess. bring some justice to those thiefs!

without a proper drop distribution system (which is not coming really soon) it really ****s for small clans and solo players ands thats mostly who gets hurted!

so again, you can scam drop on boss instances. theres nothing stopping you from doing that.

yes its legal. and everyone here knows it. so many topics about scammers and so on and still same answer. and i dont know why ppl still make topics about ingame scamming...

 

this is not a private server. those things were discussed since the instance system came to l2. only you yourself can prevent those situation. it is the game, that is forcing you to play with constant party or clan only in order to avoid the scams. yes, there is nothing stopping the scammers to do that, only you!

 

and what does it have to do with private servers?

 

usually the staff from private servers are having those rules for drop scammers... official servers never had one and probably will never have no matter which company is hosting the game. it is part of the game as the pvp and pk is. it is unfair, but there is a way to avoid it, and it is not connected with the staff work...

 

there have been milions of threads about this. scamming ingame is not a bannable offence. it is between the player interaction with the rest. if he hacks you acc and steals items that way thats another story. next time be carefull with who you are going in instances. this type of scammers has never ever been punished or will be punished on any official server you will go.

yes he can. but who want to play game he will play after scammer in instance too. and as was saying many times: it is a game concept to forcing you to play in cp. so try to find ppl who play in same time as u have same ideas ingame and make ur own cp. this is only way to be sure that u wont be scammed.

 

thats how ingame mechanics work :d on some lolpriv(if they even exist after l2 went f2p) ive had situation where gm was friend with player and helped him out, i mean wtf.
here gmpazak wont come to the game and ban a guy who used your instance-scammed you.

this along with pk mechanics, non-bound high end items, beign able to be a **** is making this game unique with sea of tears, its 10th year anni, show me some mmorpgs that survied that long

you doesnt even need constant party or legit clan to not get scammed
if you have at least trusted 1 friend you can go both on istina/ocativs on box and its 100% sure you get rights to loot

 

oh yes it is. we dont pay, game is full of bugs and exploiters, gm with problems to deal with sides and etc.

 

scams are allowed because its much more easy to ignore than do something about it. and ppl complain on forums so that other know to avoid those scammers. anyway game experience suffers alot because of this staff attitude, but seems they focus more about golden crates , power shirts and who knows what else. i think there was a case where action was taken against some players but it dint end good for anybody. so yea its a jungle out there.

 

would be nice if someone start thread and update 1st post with known scammers. how to join that list? simple. scam anything from anywhere in instances. just need proofs that person who scammed really was a scammer. not like one guy qq omg he is scamer bla bla just because he dont get any single elcium powder in fortuna.

we've had a few people who have tried such things but the threads always failed either because people didn't bother updating, because the threads got de-railed and because some people were just nominating people for scamming due to personal hatred - like a kind of petition war.

 

if all players do epic instance with clan/ally,cp the scam method will reduce .
why to go with random people you dont know? its a risk that most times cause scam.

if you are scared that drop will be scammed, make good quality video when boss dies, and what happens next. if someone scams drop, you will have undoubtful prof about this scam. then post it on forum, and everyone will know for sure that this player is 100% guilty. this would be very bad for scammer, and if he'll want to play normally with his nick name, it will cost him a lot of euros to change it
sure you wont get lost drop, but you'll get quite satisfying revenge on scammer

 

wont do, most of em got active clan/cp or many chars to do those bosses. if they get caught scamming, just put that char on "freeze" for some time.
