about 3 weeks ago i was searching for a god private server to play and i ended up at innova's website and i felt lost and ignored this server. less than 1 week later, i saw on ncwest boards about this server and only then i noticed that this is a retail server licensed (which is only on footer of the website). you guys should take more advantage of the domain lineage2.eu (which is outdated by the way) and give a better impression of how great it is to play a innova server. all the main website have is a download button, a l2wiki search and a twitter timeline. i'm not saying innova should attack ncwest on it's home page, but i don't think it would hurt to talk about frost security, dual box system (let the visitor understand on it's own how greater this server is compared to ncwest) and maybe a patch note inside the website and game information (kinda like "game" menu on ncwest's homepage). anyway, all i'm saying is that everyone that plays this game in this side of the world (america and maybe a portion of europe) knows that lineage2.com is the official server, but we don't know that eu.4game.com is a retail european server licensed by ncsoft and hosting a great server that it is. i also believe it is a shame that one single client can't run the 3 servers (like ncwest has 5).

i agree with u in some points. i dont wanna say the website is "poor" but for an official server-/gamewebsite its kind of empty if you compare it to websites of it on ncwest or the korean/taiwanese/japanese website. our website needs more love.
when i first came across innova servers i thought this website isnt the real one cause it basically doesnt look like a website which should also promote this game in an official way. it would be nice if innova could "pimp" the website a bit more. more infos about server, pa system, game infos etc blabla. ofc ppl could always check forum but who will check forum first if he/she wanna have infos about a server? and those important infos should be easy to find and (i speak for myself) i expect a server host to give such infos on their promotion website.

about more servers:
afaik innova had 2 servers along with 1 polish and 1 german (correct me if im wrong) server.
those 2 servers got merged. polish server is dead/empty/not as populated as core and the german server down.
core is quite populated and healthy growing. i dont see a reason why innova should add more servers.

 

yes we had aria which was merged with core.

as for comparing server numbers with ncwest, please try and remember that ncwest have been running for 10 years and we are only into our third for the eu and the ru side of ours has 14 servers so it is just a case of having open servers that can be justified by the population so until we get to the point where we feel a 2nd eu server is justified then we just won't open one. the separate language specific servers are a separate entity of their own, they have been opened because of original plans for full localization for languages.

as for the website - this is by no way just a brush off but we implemented more information here on the forum for the time being until any website rework can be done as something is better then nothing, but i would need to speak with several departments to find out where we are on that at this time so unfortunately i'm not going to get a fast or simple answer for you.

 

in no way i meant to open new servers. i totally understand the reason why there's only one server running here. what i meant was just that you guys do have 3 servers and it would be better to have just 1 client running (letting the player know which one is polish or german in the server screen). but since one is down and the other one is dead, i see why this hasn't been made a priority.

thank you for the feedback, i do appreciate it. we will consider it and see if we can do a rework. and for now, just like deepblue've said, forum will remain the premier source of information.

 

yes i know you didn't request we open a new server, i was just giving a full explanation behind why we do not have more as for the one client, again as i explained, this isn't done due to the fact that we had full localization for those languages...meaning that they had their own client, server, forum, project team, social network pages etc etc and i personally know of no plans to change this in the near future at least.

 

had a friend join and the first thing he said was "this website is really bad", so yea take in to consideration that you can gain many new players by adding advertisment and rework your website.

 

we've been saying the same for 2.5 years now, so much that we got tired of saying it. :d

 

i agree, that ncwest site looks very nice and more easy to find everything, forum, game button, info, so no need to jump from site to site.

even when u go 4game.ru (https://ru.4game.com), 1st u see main site with all game, then u choose lineageii and u see nice promo site with big button "install game" and all info about server.

we have that promo site too, but u have longer way to find it.
