NCSOFT will open a classic server

but you see, is not the change itself the problem.
is more about "how things changed, and what those changes brought".
which is a whole different thing.
cause 3 years ago were few players saying where god would've lead to, but now we have enough info and details to assume those people (myself including, i always said how god was about to break the game,simple logic) seen it first.

actually we can state that god lead to quitting a large majority of the game's former playerbase.
f2p , with pros and cons, just kept containing numbers for a small period within' which you could already see how the population was getting lesser everyday,in every server.
we can say it was already happening , but we should note that such huge dramatical changes chased away a great % of the most loyal players this game ever had.
to don't gain them back any longer.
not under such conditions,ever.

let me explain, now:
you had those that quitted for instaces massively replacing open world
you had those that quitted cause of them reviewing their cp structure (9 to 7 members,class changes etc,etc)
you had those that quitted 'cause of 99 lvls grinding
you had those that quitted for many other reasons , be it personal ones or game-side ones.

on the other side you had:
you had those that started to play but somehow you lost a part of those before they would even reach 99.
and somebody that returned after years break finding their old community almost destroyed.

they turned the game into something completely different hoping the former community would stand along a far longer span window and passively accept this , but people started to quit the first days god patch notes started to float around.
was a terrible move , be it as a gamer, be it marketing wise.
nexon's takeover on nc wasn't far to come but also weren't widely acknowledged expecially in the west.
game devs digged their own hole hoping their community would just save them from falling in it.
didn't worked at all.

anyway, this game has been developed for a korean audience and it has always worked around that market, not western one.
anyway classic servers don't do any harm to the actually playing community, most of this players that would play on those classic servers aren't going to play on any past-god server, its like we're speaking about two completely different games.

 

i understand the reasons the community has been 'turned off' by god so to speak; that's, however, no reason to see those changes as permanent; things that have been changed will not be this way permanently, the classes branching at lindvior onwards is proof to that.

i would rather invest my time into something that may change than to go into the 'server hoping' as i like to call it; i definately agree that this game is something completely different than what it was at launch but i'm honestly happy to see the issues i had problems with finally addressed(useless classes for example~)

oh well, i would hope the community would continue to support the game like the original lineage's; i would rather see people suggesting what they want to see implemented/gone than just mindlessly complaining at a innova's forums(which are not the developer you geniuses).

honestly, we're better off sharing a korean translator's bill and bringing things directly to ncsoft on this matter than spreading this entire negative aura that is lurking around here. ewk.

 

nc drowned hard with the nexon's takeover, there's enough post from me about this subject won't bring them back again.
everything coming further was highly predictable from everybody able to use his own brain.
but on this i can't agree:

you're comparing a trend with an exception.
the trend has started with freya and everything onwards just pushed it further.
lindvior brought back the 32 classes out of a massive request from the kr playerbase, but is like i steal everything from your home and after an year i get back saying "here, have this chair back".
i believe you would not going to thank me for it, would you?

useless classes, well, they weren't as powerful as people wanted them to be for playing it , but most of the gaming history, not l2 only, is full of power swap among classes.
have played alot of games and most of them were living cycles of boosts-to-nerfs over certain classes.
the problems started when this were driven from player's whining and moaning about it.
i can tell you that i've seen the exact same thing happening in most of the games that provided a large variety of classes , and this perspective was broken due to people expecting to have them all balanced around the 1v1 scenario and crying when this didn't occurred.
as a ganker i can tell you this, i always played underpowered classes, it gave me the most satisfactions.
always. never ever picked the most powerful/easy one.
so not, devs should be the less influenced possible from players opinions since nowadays 90% of these are just tears about wanting an insta-win button.

since player growth is extremely slow on the classic servers (it's now almost three months since lineage 2 classic started on may 28, and everybody is still in their d-grades)
seems it must be funny ;p

 

they r in d grade not cos they r 20+ lvls
there is no comon items drop/not much items drop from mobs ( and dont forget if you die even not pk you have chance to drop any item -true hardcore ) and craft system like in old times be4 god* and overal exp is w/out any x2,x3 or pa or nevit -like good old times at ncwest x1 and that all...

the video was about items drop from non pk players and how some ppl having funn from it -as for sleep/poizon/drain -ppl just dont have any good m.def and no serios buffs on them - in some older chronicle sleep will be nerfed to longer cast time ( as it was in original ). as for shots yeah - i didnt see any of them to use shots -only for pvp -probably hard to get them

 

subscription in korea is smth like 15 $ per month
so watching current sit on core it would gonna happen ;p

yeah and what. maybe will be 300 ppl for start then after a month they will realize not funny to be in d grade and grind 12h / day for 1% and then the 2nd month the servel will lose 100 people then after the 2nd or 3rd month the server will close. gj. but yeah maybe worth for innove cuz ppl will pay for nothing. for fun? nooooo.

 

at korea its ~30 $ not 15.............
