good old times, but that's not what you will get with classic l2... not even close.

it's been quite a while since i posted any update on the situation, so here we go.
first of all, i would really appreciate if you stopped thinking that we are withholding any info that can be shared with you.
next, a bit of update. i still can't grant you with a definite "yes" or "no", but we are in the middle of making a site for collecting registrations. we will release it within a month so get ready to call your friends who might be excited about the possibility to play good old l2.
"collecting registrations" means that we will give you an opportunity to make a statement that you are really interested in a classic server. from our side, launching a game is a serious decision and before we make it we want to see how many of you are actually out there.

these are great news. will you provide decent info about it? like l2classic features and payment model? because if it's the classic monthly sub model with 0 microtransactions or cash-shop, i'm all in! if it has any kind of real cash influencing the game then i'll pass.

 

this has been already confirmed on russia l2 classic version no microtransactions

this model will be pay to play on monthly subscription and money per month will be annouced after registration if will be successful . so count that registration will be running in march + preparation phase i think if all goes well in summer or end of summer you have server

 

guys, i can see that you are very excited about this, but please note: "collecting registrations" does not mean we will open l2c server!

we know how many players we need for the project to be worth it, but we have doubts about if there would be enough people interested in it in europe. our decision about opening l2c eu will be based on how many players will express their interest through this page we are working on. we are hoping to release the page in march.

and yes, we love it p2p.

i'm willing to pay up to 50 euro per month, no problems. as long as there is no donator's shop & bots. better open that server before summer.

good. if it takes a month to release a registration site (that's max 2 days for any dev), then we might see a server next decade. 1/6 classic rate doesn't mean everything, including creating a website, should be 6 times slower too.

offcourse they will not open classic server. innova p2w model now with core. why to make a server with p2p
in the begining core was p2p also. just they dont want to say a no we dont open it because they afraid that you get mad and stop support and play core server and people get less and less.
i am sure that if they open it 1000 players will gather and play and thats a good income.
but they are greedy and they want donations and core style p2w

 

no actually core was always free to play, although donate shop was open since start.

 

on l2c we havent vit and nevit , that only exp rune should help us, it wasnt expensive that everyone can buy it, but no everyone can buy 10 vit scrolls , scrolls for change limit of vit scrolls itp. of course reach people will donating everythink and selling for adena, but this is everywhere.

 

if by that you meant we should have xp runes i disagree so freaking much.

if there's a need for boost in xp just do a double-xp week or weekend, selling items that directly affect gameplay kind of feels bad when it comes to a game like lineage 2.

 

i agree with you, the best solution is without any boosts, but i wanted to explain a diference between classic and god. classic has less items to help with exp than god its sure and the donations will not be that overpower like on core. p2p 10 euro per month and will be fine xd
