so the podcast finished, i will give you some of the important topics that was commented there. here is the link of it: http://www.twitch.tv/amchampionship/b/542638702

    1. first and may be most important thing, there is a small chance all who registered, but didn't pass the check in to participate in the tournament. don't be happy yet, it depends of some technical issues and it is not a sure thing at all. there will be an official announcement about it and more details tuesday or wednesday. there is a variant (it is an theoretical thing) if this happened the participants to be split in groups of 200/300/400 and they will have time (ex. monday 1-st group, tuesday, 2-nd group, wednesday 3-rd group etc.), when the participants will have 3 hours to fight olympiad games absolutely random how it goes on an usual olympiad. and after all olympiad days finish, there will be lists with the participants with the highest points. (again this is a theoretical situation, it is not a sure thing, if all registered players can participate).

    2. all who will particpate, read the rules (http://l2.amchampionship.com/cups/cso-season-1/view/rules) very carefully. don't risk to be disqualified, because you "was not informed".

    3. there was a moment about the training period. repeating it again: nb! after class change and receiving race skills participants should immidiately return to the waiting room using the same portal. all participants that will return to village from ruins of ye sagira will be disqualified from the tournament. don't ignore this! once the server is wiped and the actual preparation period start, you will be disqualified from the tournament.

    4. sub and dualclasses will not be available on the server due to technical issues.

    5. you can't watch the olympiad on server live, since there will be no olympiad manager after the wipe. however the matches will be streamed.

    6. there will be probably some more changes of the equipment list after the end of training period.

    7. it is recommended you to make screenshots of your matches results, if you have some kind of a problem match you will use it and contact organizers with that prove (recommended to do that as soon as possible, not next days). the best situation of course is to fraps all your matches.

    8. connected with rules you have to watch the alliance chat in order to announce the organizers if you're ready or not.

    9. really important part is the nicknames. when you create your character after the wipe, you have to make it with exactly the same nickname and class as it is on the webside. if the name is already taken, you create the char, and after that go on http://amchampionship.com/, log in, edit profile:
    and change the nickname/class:

if the nickname and exact class on tournament server is different from nickname and exact class from the web, you will be disqualified.

    10. you have to fill on the web your results of your matches. there will be a full guide how you will do that soon.

    11. there will be no clan cloaks for participants. you will not be invited in main clan.

i think this is the most important things, when i have time i will hear it again and if i miss something i will fill it.

    hello sweetnigth,
i have a lot of ppl asking for how will be the elimination sistem, we read it to many time but stil dont understandt it clear.
    they say this:

during group stages (starting from non-ranked to s rank) different tournament system will now be used. to avoid possible situations when three participants gain even amount of points all fights in gorups will now be held using double elimination system. the winners of each group will be two players, that have won in upper and lower brackets. example of double elimination group match is available here.

    and put this photo: http://amchampionship.ru/images/group_de_eng.png

can u help us with example to have it clear?

    thanks,kingofbeast

of course i ll try to help as much as i can. i used the same table and fill it with examples of players 1,2,3,4. every player has a coloured circle, you can follow exactly how it is moving in double elimination system. if you still have questions, feel free to ask.

after 3 days testing on the pts server all i have to say is that this tournament is pretty unbalanced. first 3 places will be taken by othells and feohs for sure. these two classes are so much overpowered... even more than you can imagine, with the gear and the rules of the tournament. sorry folks but that's the truth. all the rest classes have 0 chances to get one of these places in my opinion no matter how good or bad you are playing.
when this tournament was announced i was happy that finally i'd take part in such an event since olympiads (as well as coc) are the only pvp parts of the game that i like and i believe they are a little bit more fair than the open pvp which is kinda you know.. pocket vs pocket due to all these p2w events that recently were added to our server.
now, all i can say is that i don't feel like participating.
gms and tournament organizers have to rethink the rules and the procedure of the tournament. some of my first thoughts that would make the tournament more fair is:
    1) change in hide skill of othells so it can be used only once per game. no double time chance included.
    2) remove all giant skill augments. make available the usage only for the normal passive reflect dmg (the one you can get from 76 to 84 lvl life stones)
    3) half time duration of arcane barrier skill of feohs.
    4) same numbers of participants on each class.

without these 4 major moves, the tour is already fail in my opinion. not even for fun it worths.
looking forward for your opinions mates.

feoh is not a problem, giant ls augments will be removed, othells are insame, and i also hope they will do something with hide, because they hit twice, and hide 4min 30s

feoh is not a problem for the classes with longtime protection from this neverending arcane barrier. if you have to kite to protect yourself you're dead, unless you are extremely lucky or the feoh do some mistake.

bottom line, in order that all classes have equal chances to win one of the 3 places i think that major changes in the core of the game needs to be done. otherwise it won't be fair.

1149 players registered for the tournament. 256 checked in. there are 2 sure things so far. there will be no more than 1149 participants and those 256, who checked in are for sure in :d so, i am sorry, but if you didn't registered, you can't do that anymore. however, if you are one of those 1149, there is still a small chance (more information, post #63 (point 1). if not, next time :d

good news for all players registered for cross-server olympiad! amc organizers together with innova decided to allow all 1149 registered players to participate in cso. this step may lead to minor changes in tournament bracket and rules but we belive that in the end all participants and fans will only benefit from this decision.

thus cross-server olympiad will have 2 stages- qualifier round for 1149 players and double-elimination round for 256 participants.

detailed tournament description will be available soon. follow the news!

there should be classbassed for those 1149 people, and on the groupstage there should be 32 players of each class (8 classes) to avoid 200 othells in the groupstage

there is no information how the qualifier round will be made yet, but the sure thing is that from it, there will be 256 who will qualify for the groupstage, so i suppose it won't be a classbased olympiad.
edit: only if they qualify the top 8 of each class though :d and still not all classes participated. i don't really know :)

they should speed up with the changes, the tournament begins in 6 days and we still can't prepare properly, beacuse we don't know how it will look like.

(olympiad has to be fixed, all got reseted, and there's classbassed matches)

http://prntscr.com/3yba66 (having fun in pts, around 14 othells next to me xd)

    edit: sorry deepblue, missclicked :p

not sure which class is more op in these conditions right now: feoh with almost channeled mana barrier or barely touchable othel with multiple hides during one match?
even though i have been playing healer for more than year already, i did not pick it for cso; instead i went for an othel that i have never played before (tried feoh as well, which i did play here long time ago, but i was not satisfied).
