what if one guy puts a win for him when he infact lost or both ppl put different result (by mistake or wanted, doesnt matter).
gm's will take care of the checking/reporting etc?

 

since in the rules there is a penalty for delaying to put the results:
6.4. participant receives two (2) penalty points in the following cases:
6.4.1 delays in entering a battle results on website
there will be control. however, it is good if you check your result once it is up and if there is any problem to report it asap to the gms.

here are the groups matches. there is still no official information about groups 13~64 and why they are having only 1 match. the logic is making me think that in group 1-12 are participants with less than 30 points and they will fight for rank c spots using the double elimination system. participants from 13-64 goes to c, however they will fight (so don't try to avoid this, since it is not confirmed as well :d)

showmatch means that no matter the result we gonna go c rank, just if 1st place we might get an easier opponent at c ?

 

since from 1-12 goes 24 players and 1 of them will be from the lower brackets yeah something like that
edit: and yeah you are right, those who are losing will meet in next stage a 1-st place player in theory... so you guys better not miss this only because you are in c rank already

 

quick reminder of the most important rules during matches for less unpleasent surprizes:

1.2 during tournament matches each participant must keep up with the alliance chat in game. organizers will clarify the readiness of opponents for battle in alliance chat.

2.1 each participant can only play for one game character.

2.10 participants should independently verify the information given by their opponents on the tournament website.

3.2 at the appointed time referees contact the participants of next battle in alliance chat and ask about their readiness to start a battle. if the participant is ready he confirms it by responding "+". likewise, the "-" sign means that the participant needs more time to get ready.

3.3 any communication in alliance chat during tournament is prohibited.

3.4 if both participants are ready, referee starts a battle. participants will be summoned to match arena during two minutes after that.

3.5 after the end of battle each participant must log on to tournament website and enter the results of the battle. (guide http://amchampionship.com/news/cso-results-presentation)

6.5. participant receives three (3) penalty points in the following cases:
6.5.1 smurf character usage;

6.5.2 walking outside of waiting room without granted permission from tournament organizers.

6.5.3 received or purchased equipment enhancement;

6.5.4 interaction with npcs outside the waiting room, unless possessing special permission from the organizers;

6.5.5 after tournament evening participant is offline and can not be summoned back to waiting room;

6.5.6 game nickname and game class of a participant`s character does not match the information on website.

5. battle recordings
7.1 throughout the tournament participant must record his fights using fraps-like programs or stream-translation.

 

the fraps rule was commented back when there was a podcast regarding amc olympiad:

and it is explained here that those frapses are used if there is some kind of a problem regarding your match results. example: you see that your opponent wrote the result on web incorrect and you contact the organizers with a prove about it. a screenshot is enough as a prove to start an investigation (not that you're correct so any photoshop won't help :d ). also it is recommended to contact them asap, not to wait some days till there is no chance to prove that you're right.

7. it is recommended you to make screenshots of your matches results, if you have some kind of a problem match you will use it and contact organizers with that prove (recommended to do that as soon as possible, not next days). the best situation of course is to fraps all your matches.

so it is recommended as a best solution but not a must.

 

well if i will lose to suspected player, i want to see his fraps (he might use bots )

 

you won't be able to see his fraps, even if he does recording his matches. this is made for organizators, who anyway can track a suspecious player without his fraps. this rule is more valid for amc group vs group fights, since there 1 of the team members must record. here the matches are shorter, easier to track and a screenshot of the result is a good solution for people with weaker pcs. if you suspect anyone of botting, you can share your doubts with the gms.

dut to tournament rules violation (6.5.1 smurf character usage) the following characters have been disqualified from participating.
1. nickmgs
2. eklektos

sweetlight, you should talk with mightyb about this, cause is not smurf account, they're brothers.

 

their site accounts are 'nickmgs' and 'nickmgs2', they could have gone through effort of making individual accounts.

update: looks like they are looking into it, and probably all will be fine so don't panic.

upd 2: as a result of additional investigation, no violations of rule nr. 6.5.1 by the mentioned players were found. disqualification is cancelled, characters may proceed with participating in tournament.

 

when is my match going to be?

 

you're in group 29, if the matches go as last night and since there for sure will be someone not comming, be online in 34 minutes.

the probability of getting two othells and tyrr (not mention tyrr with bow, which i got) is ~0,01%!
i'm really unlucky in this amc, second time in a row i got two othells in 1 group (probability ~0,007%)
