@surprised sadly that button doesnt works as long as i have been playing this game and just think a bit of what you're saying, even if gms use bots,which i doubt but who knows, will be a pretty bad tactic to get real life income that way since the server is getting filled of bots really fast (as i can read) and that way they will get mucho real life money but in the long walk they will lose a lot more.
@trigger good idea but a lot of bots go off when any gm is close, otherwise if gms go on a boxed charr just to see the way the bots moves and so on and ban from the gm charr this could work i think.

@trigger - now imagine your "cop" being spammed by 1000 people all with different questions and problems and you still expect them to "reliably" (because they are only human remember, not bionic like some people here think they should be) see all bot reports in the pm spam.

here is a little information for all of those people that still complain about having to use tickets for bot reports instead of the bot report button:

the main problem with bots is that players press the "bot report" button and go away being sure that they reported a bot, in fact this is not true as we have known and made clear for a long time now that this function is not working in game and that we are still awaiting any fix from the developers.
this is why we have the ticket process in place so not only do you have a way to guarantee that your bot report has been picked up and will be actioned but we also have a solid record of people suspected of botting that can be accessed from our database at any time in a reliable and time effective way. we do not make the report via ticket process just to inconvenience yourselves but it is the most reliable form of reporting and keeping a record of suspected botters.

no offense but this entire thread turned into a joke the moment people decided to use it to flame each other and de-railed it over and over. people had no respect for each other here or for this supposed "common cause" so what do you expect?

we have answered everything that people have asked...multiple times by this point and yet people will believe only what they want to believe so it is we who are wasting our time because it doesn't matter what anyone says, none of you will be happy with anything

 

if there would be active gm's online all day those spams would be much less and would be possible to handle.
i think in years from the beginning of the server, i only could pm an active gm when the server started, and they actually spawned quest mobs, otherwise /gmlist always shows no gms online, in this case of course he gets spammed.

 

and what about all these programs that you all seem to claim exist here and some of you claim they can detect when the gm's are online so they can log off...if they aren't online we can not do anything anyway so better to write a ticket to support so we have a reliable record of the report to go back to at another time to search for these people.

spamming the gm's in game really is not the solution to anything no matter how many we have.

 

my last sentence here in this topic - i will give you one question ,

why you didn't ( innova company) catch and fix this issues ( with software and bots before players analyze it and reported)

as a service manager if i will deliver such a service to my customer and and he will report me issues , which in first case should be detected by innova company this topic wont exist .

summarize your root cause analyzes - and learn mistake for future - if there is any

 

you know this is impossible right? as most of these programs are probably developed by players and that a player would need to already have it installed on their pc and try to log in and use it before we can detect anything or you expect frost to be psychic and know when a bot developer is about to release a new product?

 

i was not at the meeting but i completely share this opinion. for me, some ppl (i wont tell names coz it would bring flame again) are totally untrusted, they are only haters and liars who promise everything but their actions are different. just read some posts here and you will know.

these "gms" can not be known to public. they can act as undercover gms and their power can always be taken back by the actual gms. besides that they can judge who to take by his/her behaviour. if there is something wrong on his/her acts it will be reveiled by complaints of people. this idea is actually up right now on west. i know 2 people that are actually doing this and it is totally fine. problem is that they implemented it toooooo late there. here it is still early.

 

now i know from where those assassins suits. on this server: "nothing is truth - everything is permitted."

 

it is not just about how trustworthy the payers may or may not be, but we are sure that the moment one person is banned from either of the "faktor" sides there will be mass propaganda and mass petitions and "riots" - but there are security risks involved with giving people access to in game admin privileges.

only rly good player (player who know game mechanics and all places, play for long time) can by rly good gm. but there are some rules going with making player a gm.
1. most important: can't play active on same server what is working as gm.
2. good salary depending on activity.
3. different hours of server activity (4 admins every have different hours in day/night - shift work).

 

i wish our pro gm's understand this, you should really hire korean gm's here, at least they work a bit
(ncsoft 3 weeks - 40000 accounts banned, innova 3 weeks - opened a ticket, and waiting next 3 weeks for ban 1 bot)
