hello people. so, i may will new player here, but i use to play lineage 2 since 7 years, i did and do play on teon/naia, nowadays a part of my friends came to here and may i will start to play here too, but first i would have some questions: 1. how good is the activity on the server? is it easy to find parties for pve on whole day or just in european peak times? 2. how much the premium account costs now for a month? 3. how easy to get equipment here after 85+? 4. when will land here the ertheia update? 5. i did read innova made in the near past some paytowin events how this was effected to the community? 6. i did read also, that lilith players will able to transfer to the core, also did read most of them are high grade cheaters, how after this will goes the future of the core? will the server receive much cheaters as the ncwest servers has? 7. how good is the pvp activity here? 8. after all, is it cost to start to play here?
1. activity is good, almost everywhere people will get in your way. to find party from 85+ no problem, but of course it will be easier on peaks. lower levels usually make parties only for raids. 2. check 4game site, you lazy *** :d 3. very easy, r grade you will get for free if you'll have mentor when your character will be awakened to 4th profession. 4. ertheia, no exact date, but some time in autumn. 5. some people are mad, some don't pay attention. 6. core probably wont be impacted at all by lilith players, other than a little bit temporary changes in economy, and more active (~500-1000?) people to server. 7. if you wont have clan with many wars, then almost no pvp. many people are scared to fight flagged people, or flag them selves. but also of course many players are grown men and woman, and they dont usually starting fight's with no reason. 8. cost to start play here? you probably mean, worth? yes, if you searching one of the best english l2 server.
still i have an issue. i download the game currently, but it only download with 35-55kb/sec, what can be the reason? i even can download the game from ncwest launcher with my maximum internet speed too, it is about 1024kb/sec. is this slow download speed can mean, that i will have laggs on the core server?
try pinging 109.105.156.11 ip address. if ping is ~1-100ms , then you'll have no, or almost no internet lag, on core server. (for info how to ping ip address click here)
i would have still some questions about the community/activity. i did create a char today morning and did run around in some towns, checked ah etc. but i got a feeling, that somehow the core would be empty or just too quite. i didn't see too much people on market, i didn't see people to shout with sell/buy etc.. i will watch back in more day periods to see, how it is in another periods of a day, but just strange a bit for me. as so much core player used to say, that here are no cheaters and paytowin stuffs, but somehow i can't see, that the people would flood the server because of this. sorry for much questions, but i play l2 since long time and i plan to play here (if i will play here) in very long term, also i plan to spend money too in the l2store, that is why i want to be 100% sure, that core is a good option.
core is for sure the best alternative if you want to get away from the na servers with all their bots, scripts and pay to win (forbidden word). i use to play na servers from 2005 till even now, every now and then. core server feels so much better without seeing endless trains in gf/gog/soh. the fass majority of are eu players obviously somehow for me i have the feeling core comes to live when you enter the end game content and join in 1 of the major pvp clans. other ppl can advise you on that one better then i can, as i just troll around in the server without any goal or plan, waiting for ertheia to get launched. once the update goes live i would for sure spent l2store and try to get 97+ lvl fast as possible. oh 1 other thing. xp wise core is much easier too compaired to na servers. e.g. at lvl 85 till lvl 95 every day free 5% xp from training npc (pa feature). k85 group gives like 10% with vit. vit = 300% with pa instead of 200% like na servers. i don't have prove but it "feels" for me every level needs less xp to get the next level compaired to the na servers.
there is good points for innova. for me, the main problem is to leave friends on ncwest, friends i had since years. and if you ever meet some good friends here, you'll have a double problem : you can't be at 2 place at the same time. and wherever you'll play, you'll miss some friends an other difference here : most of player are ungeared. under the lvl 95, it's horrible! no shot, no gear, no element. it's requiem and immortal, or sometimes the simple weapon from steel coins. xp is easy, adena less easy for some of them. they get lvl 99 really fast, but... no adena! and they are the kings of the afk in instance. be carefull : ncstore and ig items are way cheaper, i felt like a kid in a toys shop who wanted to buy everything! do a try with your friends, wait at least lvl 97 and a good clan before to invest too much. wait and see.
core is surely better than ncwest !! you will not find hordes of bots in every place. i rarely see here bots . we have good activity dailys -oly -siege -epic . but in last months we have less people than before. reason is p2w shop event we had/have.make many players to stop or play less. at core players no farm just pay to get +6 armors/weapons /epic etc.
