    why is zaken always dead?
    cap'n here! he's getting killed.
    but what should you do instead?
    what to do if you are skilled?
    skilled enough to get him farmed.
    slain. obliterated. zapped.
    slaughtered. murdered. finished. dumped.
    wasted. smothered. he feels trapped -
    every single guy on core
    has a wish to take him down.
    yet again he yearns for more -
    less a pirate, more a clown.

    drops from zaken depending on character’s level

    goal: to check how level of character who has done the most damage affects drop.

    experiment: we have created two characters. first character has level 99, he will be in a group with the main character and won’t allow him to gain exp. the main character will be changing his level from 60 to 69 and killing zaken.
    we have decided to kill night zaken lvl 60, as it has the highest chance of dropping [​IMG] zaken’s earring, which makes any kind of drop chance penalty easier to see. we killed 100 zakens at each level and put in the number of acquired earrings.

    additionally we have conducted a test when we killed one zaken at each lvl without characters being in a group and wrote down the amount of acquired exp and sp.

    the results can be seen in the table below:

    conclusion: looking at the results of the experiment, we can see that the chance of drop changes rather smoothly and has its own thresholds that differ from the one exp has (mob color change).

    if understand correctly, there was 2 character in party when zaken was killed? one 60-68lvl and another 99lvl?

    so u are telling me that at lvl 60 there is a 90% chance of getting normal zaken earring?

    well... i suppose this experiment is about that 8pt zaken? coz it seems you missed that info, which is quite important.

    thank you. i asked before for an experiment really close to this one (the 83 one), so it's maybe mine... and it points out 2 things :
    -only the guy dealing dps will affect drops
    -lvl has an impact on the drops even when the char sees it white (tbh, i thought you had max chance while you were seeing the mob white)

    this or is this instance changed too and you need less people now to enter the nighttime zaken?

    i am 100% sure nighttime zaken still requires 56 people. :)

    thats what i thought. drop rate of the zaken jewel @ 90% was allready confirm for quite a long time. the problem was allways to get so many parties ready to go.

    well ye confirmed its 56 and droprate is that , talking from personal experience ;)
