im not pleased with l2 efficiency on my laptop thats why i consider to buy ssd disc. heres my laptop specs: -geforce gt 540m -4gb ram -intel core i7-2630qm cpu @ 2.00 ghz -64 bit win 7 (samsung rc730) 120 gb ssd disc will cost me ~~80 euros, and heres my question, with current setup will ssd disc greatly improve l2 efficiency. or i should spend that money for smth else to improve smoothness of l2?
depends what you want from l2 now. ssd will not improve your fps from (example) 20 to 30-40. but characters and npc in town/fields will appear much faster then on hdd. thats the only diffrence between ssd and hdd
yes, ssd will be a great help for l2 performance. but be careful which ssd you buy. "samsung 850 pro" series ssd's probably are best right now, and they have 10 years warranty. p.s. you don't need more ram, l2 don't use more than 1-1.5gb ram. and of course fps will increase with with ssd, computer wont freeze so often to load some textures, thus increasing fps.
i don't use any ssd dics, using old bad disc, and i don't have even a single problem in-game (neither on sieges).
acualy adding an ssd and more ram will increase the game performance. granted l2 only needs like 2 gb ram, but by adding more ram 8 or better 16 gb, your overall system performance will get a huge boost, which means also your game will take a big boost.
everybody know laptops having hdd with low writing and reading.. so ssd will make laptop faster for 1000%.and l2 doesnt help multicore processor, u need just one core, doesnt need more.
the newest client is simply terrible in terms of speed and compatibility. with ertheia i'm only able to run half of the clients i used to and ssd doesn't really help it much. and why does the login screen stutter so much and hangs the client for a while all of a sudden?
