A realistic Evaluation on how many people (still) play here

hey there,

i have been absent from l2 for quite a long time. didn't have so much free time left and had some irl stuff to manage, so sadly i couldn't log in for some months.

heading back i am wondering... how many people are estimated playing on core daily and in peaks?

some people tell me like 500 daylie and like 1000 on weekends but seeing the cities this sounds a bit low for me.

i know that innova does not tell about the amount of online players but please, give me a little impression on how well this game is still populated here.

core is more populated than any other official server atm and i talk about active ppl no bots.and if you want to check one server you dont port to oren town to check population.server worths to try it and its the best choice atm.

i have 4 chars 85+ atm.

tyrr dreadnought 87 level
aeore shilien saint 90 level
wynn elemental master 87 level
iss sword muse 86 level

any suggestions in which of those classes to continue for having a good overall game experience? i mean getting party, doing good in pvp / oly, capable of soloing but also needed for bosses.
or better start off a new class e.g. feoh or yul?

with tyrr and wynn i believe that you will have hard time finding a party, since no1 wants them for pvp. but i would say go for the class that you do like to play the most.

 

yul will be boost on next update. feoh are quite good.

but play what ever you want because actually if you don't play what you enjoy to play , you won't enjoy the game. better say to us what in general you like to play. if you like to play in cp , i know many cps looking for healers or iss.

 

well basically i would like to play in a cp but the problem is i can't afford the time to be active in a cp.
better said: i have to work every 3rd day, but for 24h and i don't have time to play during that 24h.
so i think i might not be very useful for a cp as healer if they have to look for another one every few days.

i think feoh might be a good choice since i hear a lot of good things regarding their dps (good aoe skills for kartia, soa etc.) and also about their soloing capabilities. especially with iss buffs.

on older l2 times my favourite class was da tough it isn't existing any longer as it used to be i think i might try nuker, since my very first l2 char was a spellhowler.
probably i will try necromancer or spellsinger.

i heard mages exp pretty fast and i could afford pa and mentor myself with my iss + powerlevel the mage from 77 on in bloody swampland.
guess it shouldn't take me too long to awaken then..

how are mages doing in pvp? mass and 1v1.
some time ago i heard they were like glass cannons, but more glas than cannon.
is this any changed? since necro has tp again, i think its overall survivability shoul've increased.
also, is there any mage leveling faster than another? spellsinger has more aoe nukes than necromancer for example. or can necro with his pet level faster?

still: what is the average online player count?

more than 2k?
just interested since i got absolutely no impression on how crowded the server is nowdays.

 

they're now more cannon than glass. (not in immortal/requiem event, ofc...)
