NCSOFT will open a classic server

glad to hear the good news from innova. i'm sure l2c is happening, on the other hand i'd be pretty surprised if na and eu can't muster up 15k signatures.

 

i think 15k they can get ,but depends on if 1 reg per pc , or one user can reg countless acc .. im not sure if i explained good :d just hope won't close server after 4-5 months cause of people leaving ..

 

the new server that opened recently , lineage2tales i think it was..had like 13-14k+ online players.well that was on pic hours , but they were keeping like 6-7k online for the most of the day.that being said i am absoluttly sure we can have 15k registration for this project!

 

you still believe in fake private server numbers? (don't get me wrong, i spent many years of private servers, but i learned pretty quick that their online and forum counter is usually fake).

 

yea i was thinking the same thing.however , even the half of it to be true .. thats like 3-4k online players in a private server!i have pretty much the faith we can go over 6k-7k online in l2c..

 

l2c cant handle more then 5k, rly, i mean spots are very limited, with 7k+ u can make 20 lvl in week when 20lvl u can hit eazy in 24h

 

l2 russian servers were limited cap 6k - later cause of 3 weeks peek and peopel were not able to log in opened slot for 7k

but later on were bots banned and peopel were able to log + some people hit lvl 60 on ru and waiting on 2nd update therefore population is now with 4k-5k during prime time,

when new update will be released with loa again servers will be full

 

gms put the limit to 15k cause everything its calculated,means that the 1/3 from them prolly pay the fee for the first month to close their reg,so try to think deeper,15k regs are not 15k players that gonna play classic.also my personal opinion is that 80% from you gonna stop after the first-second max month cause of the hardcoreness of xp/drop rate.noone from us played on retail server with 1/6 rates ever so dont compare old times with new l2classic.so one clever idea for innova "if" they decide to open classic server is to put on sale some "6 months-1 year" or w/e like this registrations with a discount ofc just to keep players ingame to dont quit soon.
l2 community is really dead atm,ppl grow up and quit or try newer games,you can see it for example in ncwest,its one reason that they dont ban bots,cause they want to keep their servers populated doesnt matter with alive ppl or bots,they could ban everything ofc but population after would be so low that doesnt worth for a company to keep them online.or one other example is that eu official has only one server and this is core,in one attempt to open second server they fail so they merge them.
i understand that you are nostalgic and want to try l2classic,but i am sure also that this happiness gonna last only for couple of months maximum,after this period you will understand that you are not anymore in college to have 15 hours per day free time to play bla bla etc.retail always had hardcore and casual players,but "retail with 6 times lower rates than the old one i dont know really.

money , spoil , drop = 1/6 atleast what i've observed ,

craft is as usual 60% and 100%

 

15k people interested shouldn't be that hard to find, i think the main problem will be to see how many people will actually play it for more than 1-2 months.

 

most ppl complaining at god+ "there is no drop, there is no adena. so they want classic server where is 1/6 adena, spoil = logic.
troy, it is obvious first 2 months, maybe 3 will be big hype, like on archage... after 4 months servers were empty. this going to be the same.
i wont say about exp, where on 20lvl for mob is 0.02% xd and ppl here cant make 99 since 1 year becouse "no time to exp/not evryone is nolifer" so they want to go on classic :d
also l2store, who really belive that wont be l2store xd. alredy on kr they have exp rune/song/dance buff in l2store... wait a little longer and you will have the same as here as i know innova care


not that i think l2calssic is bad idea, cause it is nice to see ppl still renember older chronicles. i was playing on c3 long time. but that was long time ago, when i had school ect.. now when i have work, family no time for hardcore exp. like most ppl now. who really want to go on classic, good luck for them ofc.

 

you are probably the only guy in the world who believes in tales online counter.

 

all will be about clans , people and will to play the game and ofcourse peopel are creating community and community is creating atmoshphere on the server ,

what you need is to have nice party in nice clan , as usuall most hurry people and no lifers will finish in 1-2 months thats normal. c1 is survival epilogue and epilogue of communication and knowing each other and buld relationship with people for future war in next epilogue ( castles rb's mass pvp's ofc u have it in c1 as well but lets drink a clear water in c2 c3 c4 c5 will be even better)

so thing is to have right expectations about your party and ur time and all will be fine

 

if exp/drop is going slowly for everyone - is it truly slow?

 

.... ^^ so l2c gonna be 6x lower drop/spoil.adena ... okay i need to prepare for farming like really farming :d
p.s a4se people who say on god hard to get 99/adena .. is the people who know nothing about game or thinks this should be like some private server with 10000x rates :d

 

its probably 1/6 rate of the current comparable mobs, like mobs in ct perhaps or something. i doubt its 1/6 of the original prelude rate, that would go into negative! "losing exp by exping!"

seriously thought, someone incorrectly interpreted the 1/6 rate of the original prelude. if its true... its painful.

the 60% craft was normal from a grade on. there were b grade recipes for 60%, like blue wolf tunic, but you needed less ingredients for it.

 

u are not the guy that quit every game after 2 weeks? i bet u spam more the f5 in the russian forum than the gk players :d

 

an older chronicle l2 fan here, made an account just to express my thoughts about it.
very very very low rate server where every bit of adena or animal skin counts, gametime of months with endless grinding. -10% exp per pk, and also chance to drop items...so is there more you could wish for, bring it on!!!

 

exp is not 1/6, people say exp is x1, for me it looks more like x0.9, only drop spoil adena is 1/6
