problem login gameguard

all sorted, thanks to radix.
the problem i had, is due to parental control of eset smart security.
for which you have the same antivirus just turn off.
i use version 5,

configuration / advanced settings / parental control.
uncheck box, integrated into the system.

 

i think i have the same problem like friend kenshinarck did, but the difference is that i live in a drominatory and probably got that frost port closed. could it be the reason for the same symptoms like kenshinarck mentioned earlier?

i don't think that port 80 (http) is bloked for you. other connections are the same with common network applications (socks-connections).

simple test for you:

but isn't frost using 17453 port?

i found on other thread that l2eu uses ports:

2106 - for login port
7777 - for game port
17453 - for frost port
2009 - for something else, but important.

i'm quite familiar with those ports cuz i often ask my dorminatory admin to open them form me (private servers) but this 17453 is something new.

 

daimyo, 17453 not for update... for ingame network exchange - yes =)
if you experienced with gg problem that it's not a 17453 port issue...
but it should be open for playing of course.

you say that your problem is the same, so i think you should repair your frost system update...

 

you need to open port 53.
and if you open it the same virus as me.
do the last thing i said.

 

hmm, port 53 is dns...
i don't think that you can starting anything from web / network without this port =) but...
