Windowed frameless mode?

it's so simple, just a freakin flag in l2.ini turned into false, period. no f'ing hardcore modifications here.... so many more mmo's have this option ingame... it's ******ed not being able to change this here... it just is.

fyi i did read the thread, but because i know there are people that don't, i gave a simple and quick answer again so people who will just look at the last page will know at least something helpful.
and who's trying to raise his post count? koren? 333 posts? lmao

 

because it is an option in l2.ini doesn't mean its not a hardcode modification. infinite zoom is an option in l2.ini too.
but i agree, this option does not impact the gameplay. it's still a modification if you alter one file. the question here is if you manage to do it without modifying any file, is it still considered as a mod ?

 

fyi, when i click the maximize button, my game goes to full screen. but thanks for that useless tip anyway!

 

then drag the window on top of screen to have maximized window mode. mine doesn't do that.

 

it is a windows 7 function that resize the window to the exact screen dimension excluding the windows bar. it wont work on windows xp, and it is not a real "maximized" window state

 

well it is a solution for win7 users.. maybe you can put your desired window resolution in the ini so it fits your screen perfectly.

strangely windows 7 doesn't do that for me. maybe it's an aero feature?

 

drag the window as if you want to move it "above" the screen. then a small thingy will happen. if u let your mouse button after that it will maximize the window.

 

yeah, that doesn't happen on my box, must be an aero feature. i turned aero off, because it causes issues with some of my games (and eats resources).

 

well i don't know anything else that might help.. gl finding something you like

 

found a program called shiftwindow which resizes and move the l2 window. i have mine setup so that the left, right and top border arent visible, the bottom one ends just under the taskbar. works pretty good. all it would need now is an "on top" function.

edit: you'll need to shift+right click if you want it to work with taskbar in windows 7.

 

all programs you will use for 90% will do the same thing as a ahk script at first page

i dont see any client modification here

i can hit alt+enter to switch to windows mode
i can hold the corner of the window and rezize it whatever i want
i can tell ms windows to display l2 without the frame

i have lots of other apps i use while playing l2 and i have to alt-tab between them all
game devs might be too lazy to add this common feature to l2 but to forbid it is just silly
