Antivirus poll

hello all,

we have information that some problems with access to game resources may be caused by a conflict between antivirus and protection system.
that's way we want to pick up statistics about the popularity of different antiviruses among our users.

it should help us to adapt the protection system and to avoid conflicts in future.

please answer the next 3 questions::
1) is there your antivirus in the list?
2) what is/was the essense of your problem?
3) have our recommendations about av tweaking helped you to solve the problem?
please, describe your issue in one sentence.

 

my problem was comodo but firewall, coz i use avira av

 

where's microsoft security essentials? :|

agree. we need a "none" option.

 

you both got to be kidding, this is "technical issues" about av. read the first sentence again and again and again:

1) yes, kaspersky
2) disconnection 2-3 times 30 seconds after login, and heavy monitoring of the l2.exe, lineage2.exe processes eating half of the cpu resources
3) no i didnt read them till now, i fixed my problem by adding the l2.exe and lineage2.exe to exclusion list.

2) my problem is that the game won't start at all even with no av or fw?
3) no

 

same with avast but exclusion didn't work.

 

why symantec antivirus is not in the list?

mse never caused me any problems and didn't had to add anything to exceptions.
anyway i think most of the connection problems are caused by operating systems (vista and 7) not by av or firewalls.

 

1) avira antivir
2) actualy no problems at all, hmm mby just lags when it's downloading updates
3) 0 tweaking at all, default setup

0 for mcafee is not surprising but 1 for panda oo dear god world is ending

 

problem solved

 

hm, my anitvirus (avast!) see lineage2.exe as a rootkit... dunno what to do now ;c

 

add 4game folder to exclusion.

 

same **** here avast founds rootkit in l2.exe and deletes it everytime. exclusion doesn't works.

 

i'll investigate it in 1-2 days... be patient pls. i'll found the way.
