if my machine can run skyrim with no problem at all, shouldn't it be able to run l2 smoothly? (i admit i'm not so pro as you folks). anyways naia is going smooth here ;). coming to innova has been a waste of time.

my laptop can run skyrim too! :p
but l2's crowded areas need a lot of cpu power. (and a ssd helps a lot, too.)

and since when network lag has something to do with graphics lag?

in varka spot that is empty i have 4 sec delay
at goddard that has millions of ppl i have 4 sec of delay
on aden that is the central point now i have 4 sec of delay
    in giran too
and all of that 2-3 days now its not nuclear physics since they annc that everyone will have pa for free lags kicks in everyone made alts for money

started playing yesterday and haven't noticed any delays at all yet. neither does a friend who has been playing a few days already. though he's on at the busy hours while i started near midnight.
i'm also using leatrix latency fix, not sure if that helps if i'm in eu.

huge lags and disconection, especially at toi.
    unplayable when there is pvp

i'm on ts also, no lags at all on it, 100% sure it's a l2 server issue ...

hope, it will be fixed when pa (real one, not the free one) will be opened ...

    (i got ssd (windows + l2 on it) + i5 2500k + gtx 560 ti )

as i said before, no lags/freeze/delays or whatever for me with my main pc (i5 2500+ssd+gtx560ti), only my laptop has latency problems caused by cpu limitation, and not caused by server/connection problem.

pinging 109.105.153.10 with 32 bytes of data:
    reply from 109.105.153.10: bytes=32 time=42ms ttl=246
    reply from 109.105.153.10: bytes=32 time=44ms ttl=246
    reply from 109.105.153.10: bytes=32 time=44ms ttl=246
    reply from 109.105.153.10: bytes=32 time=44ms ttl=246

    ping statistics for 109.105.153.10:
    packets: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0 (0% loss),
approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    minimum = 42ms, maximum = 44ms, average = 43ms

so... don't tell that i should change my internet provider, cos my provider is sh*t and i have soulshot lags, delays and other stuff... :)

dude, dont compare ping with computer fps
i have a computer that beats the **** out of yours, and i have a lot of delay on my actions, it's actually unplayable at peak hours.
i have all day to play, but i only play at midnight, cause server is not that crowded and it doesn't lag at all.
from 3pm to 11pm, the server is overcrowded and lagged like hell

ok, but how do you explain that some people (like me) have zero lags, zero delays, etc, in overcrowded areas, and others have lags or delay in same place?

if the server was the only problem, all the players will have lags.

if it's not your computer's fault, it's your isp... or maybe you are too far away from game server? i don't know.

i give u 2 options to explain that problem of yours

1- try switching your router cables, or connecting the laptop via cable, and see if it's still your laptop only which lags.
    2- you are mentally challenged

thanks but i just give the exemple of my laptop to explain that the server has no problem at all.

i don't care about my laptop lol. i have no problem to play with my main pc.

just want to say to people who actually have lags ig, it's not the server, it's maybe your isp or your computer (or something else).

    understood? :p

and sorry if my english is not very good.

the speedtest.net tests are not relevant because you are doing the test on the nearest server.
it doesn't provide any valuable information at all to the real bandwidth and speed you have with the server, it's most likely the same as pinging or downloading a file from your neighbors. the only information you get is "look i have the biggest one".

this example is not relevant at all, i do a test on a server located near me, i will of course never have 30ms ping (more like 300ms) and 50mb/s in europe

it becomes interesting when you try to do long range communication (i've saw once when i was in europe the route passing by south africa to reach usa, lol?).
the network connection and the bandwidth you will have will depend on which route you take to reach the server which depend on many factor such as :
    - the peering agreement and agreement with carier (such as level3, global crossing and so on) of your internet service provider and of the data-center to which is located the host.
    - the load of the access points between you and the host you are trying to reach and possible issues in the routes.

the only information that have "some" value is a traceroute to the server while you lag to see from which possible point is the problem, but usually the isp for the "public" wont really care, it's not like if you were paying thousand of euro per month to have a dedicated 10 gbps port in a datacenter.

so, if you have some lags and some people doesn't, it means you are getting some bad routes with poor bw capacity which can be explained by the reasons above. note that your isp will always try to get the "cheapest" route for him, so not necessary the best one for you as customer. this one possible explanation of why some people do have lags and some others not.

there is also the possibility of having bad drivers for the network card, an ethernet cable damaged, a bad wireless connection and so on, but it's in most of the case not the server fault.
