i own the original lineage ii that ncsoft made. it obviously parted ways with that company. could i use my copy of lineage ii as my install file and still play the free version???? i downloaded the version that was posted on the website for just in case though. my cd copy has a cd key and all. i've had this copy since lineage ii came out in 2004/2005 and havent been able to play it due to lack of money to pay for the monthly fee it required.

if i can, then what do i do to convert it over to free version?

first of all your original copy is the ncwest client and very very outdated, updating would take longer than downloading/installing the innova europe god client.

thanks, ancient. that answers everything. i loved this game when i played it back in 2005. i thought it might have been easier to work with if i used my actual copy but it appears its actually harder from what you say. i hope to return to lineage ii after 7 to 8 years of being away. it's gonna be feel like that i'm a newbie all over again x.x

    thanks again.
