Why does this game punish you for being low level?

    one of the biggest l2 problems, is that l2 don't have "battlegrounds" (like wsg, atari in wow) - they are just fun to play, instanced 2pt vs 2pt or 3pt vs 3pt (biggest are 8x8). now untill you get high lvl and cp - you almost don't have pvp's. in bg's - you start to fight at level 10 (of 85). i hope this will be added to l2 aswell.
    and other l2 problem - you lose exp when die. if this was removed - there would be much more pvp's and less pr's.
    3rd problem - need much more instances, in all levels, starting for 41 (q chain end.). now for low level party - only 2 same instances - in both to kill 1 or few mobs. from 80+ it's nightmare to level up, only grind grind and again grind.

    i did not say that quest grinding is fun or that batllegrounds are fun. they can be but they can be boring as hell too. i mentioned 4 other mmos in that post and i can say at least 5 more that ive played seriously i dont know why people saw only wow. i guess they feel scared from it. now. quest grinding is not fun especially when you go trough a zone once but i dont see how going into a zone and killing 1000000000000 mobs is in any way better than quest grinding. the only thing good about quest grinding is that it keeps you thinking about something but like i said that gets boring after a while too. the thing is for example. i enter a swamp party, go to the spot, start assisting someone. thats it. whats supposed to keep my attention on the monitor? my shiny arrows? or the dramatic way in which the mobs die? i don't mind trying out new ways of leveling but they have to be interesting. all the mobs only have ultimate defense and a random attack skill that makes no difference. oh and some have slow. if the main leveling system is to kill mobs then the mobs should have different skills that could be potentially ****erous if i dont try to avoid them some how because if you just click attack and wait... theres nothing to keep your attention on the screen. i cant even use my damage skills because they actually do less dps than simply auto attacking with full iss buffs. the whole process of killing a mob isn't interesting by itself and theres nothing else you can do until the high levels. quest grinding/pvp battle grounds/instance dungeons/world events by themselves are not interesting. having a combination of all of these makes a game interesting simply because you are not forced to do 1 thing until you reach the high levels. one of the things i really like about l2 is the open world pvp its much better than in most games but you still can't do that properly until you reach the higher levels. i agree the clan vs clan pvp is awesome if you can fight players of a close level than yours, the whole siege thing is awesome aswell. this game has the largest scale pvp ive ever seen and thats what looks really cool but the problem is that theres like nothing else you can do but kill mobs until the high levels.

    p.s. to all the trolls. i can post whatever i want wherever i want because theres something called free speach! if you don't like it don't read it. umad?:p

    let there be war and mass pvp. let this wow noobs see how it is like to be ganged by 50 people when grinding to raise your precious level or when an enemy clan holds the best xp areas or when an enemy party recalls just before u kill them all or when u take the best city from an alliance with 2 hours of mass pvp where u need to bring their walls down slay their lord and take his throne or when u go on a brave expedition to slay the the mighty and feared valakas and take 300+ people with u to do it!!!

    dude u will never understand lineage ii because u r used to playing wow and getting everything the easy way...
    hmm i want some mass pvp ok then ill just go on a certain place designed for pvp battles where people go and enlist to participate so the game make random parties putting all the needed classes in both teams so u get a fair pvp where everyone has the same of everything. - thats just ***** bulls**t.
    or i need purple equipment so i join a instance party and go kill bosses but what if the boss is dead? nah that wont happen cuz u get your own instance when u enter and not only that u cant be interrupted while killing your boss because no1 can enter in your instance and steal your raid but if anyone try to enter they will get their own private instance with the same boss which will be their to kill... this is the stupidest thing wow has.

    and u say loosing xp in l2 is a problem? yes lets play wow where no matter how much u die u never loose anything not even 0.0001% that really shoots my adrenaline high... really -.-
    and trust me u have it easy now with the vitality and pa and if u have clan luck u can reduce lost xp up to 10%
    back in old days u lost 4% on high lvls too i know people that waited for a bishop to log in and ress them because they needed to grind 4-5 hours for that 4%. and also now u dont drop your items upon death.. which in my eyes was a very cool feature.. if u died from a mob or a boss or even if a player pked u u could drop something.

    and about your 3rd problem... l2 is not based on quests and farming or hiting rocks all day to raise your mining skills -.-
    l2 is about pvp and war the game gives u the chance to kill everyone u choose... what else could u possibly ask for?

    i understand l2 very well, i play it for a very long time now.
    now about mass pvp - for solo player, it's almost impossible to find untill 85 (so at least 1-2 months of mobs farming for player, who dont have pa and playes 2-3h a day). try to create party for pvp from randoms - it will be disaster.
    about xp - yes, it's a problem, that topic author mentioned btw. 30mins of farming after 1 death - that is biggest non-sense ever. hopefully, after few chronicles, there won't be exp lose anymore from deaths. and now ppl also waiting for aore to ress them, they want to safe that 10-15mins of farm.
    and don't tell me about c4 features, i know them very well.
    only newbies takes mining skill :d i don't say to add minings and tons of quests to l2 (i didin't even mentioned quests, get a glasses) - what we need is more instances for low level parties, so they can level and catch up others much faster.
    very slowly, but ncsoft making some changes to make lvl-up easier (1-2 daily quests, skipping pointless 1-42lvl and so on), but more changes is needed really badly.

    play to own others, or play to get owned by others, who play more :d l2 these days is for ppl who can afford 10h a day of play time, otherwise its just grinding trying to reach lvl 85 witch is soooooooooooooo fking boring.

    playing 3h per day takes max 3 days to get 85 lvl

    this is a clan vs clan based pvp game, solo pvp doesnt exist in .. well to be true any mmo game. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, 10v10 is not massive (massive multiplayer online).
    clan vs clan is massive.

    territory wars is ncsofts way of giving you access to massive pvp as random (you go transform to some random npc dud and go at it like any other random pvp instance **** game).

    the most important thing is that massive means its never equal. ppl who complain about zerging should gtfo of games like lineage2 and eve online. if one clan manage to get more ppl then the other, they did something right and have all the damn rights in the world to abuse that advantage in a war.

    we do not want footballrules in our war game.

    pve wise - killing 10000 cool mobbs in random cool looking place beath the shiet out of running 1million miles to turn in 3 quests just to get a foolow up to run the **** back!.

    now thats just my liking, and im not hating on ppl who enjoy running. but if your gonna come up to me and claim questrunners is more fun then mobbgrinding, i hope to god(pun intended) that realize you got a bazillion games out there for your liking in the wow-universes. lineage2 is one of the last bastions of hope for clan vs clan mmos.

    the red part:
    ill highlight some c4 feutures for you, xp loss in 2way war (also 1way war) - 0%
    god feuture - 4% (minus 40-50% clan hall ress, minus 50% clan luck lvl2)

    ncsofthas made leveling easier up to lvl 85, they did level easier to 20 once upon a time, 40, 75, 78, 80 etc etc. they always make it easier for the old levels. 85-90 is the new 70, 95 is the new 80, 99 is the new 85. they are adding more daily instances etc, but its a fine line they are walking there. and imo i think they are walking it pretty darn well, its enough that most ppl enjoy it without ticking of to many instance haters.

    tldr
    there is nothing wrong with liking grinding>questing.
    there is nothing wrong with wanting war instead of bgs. (by extension, any type of instancing works against open war system to some extent)
    lineage2 has its crowd and that crowd do not want it turned into wowstyle.
    if you want to imporove on lineage2 come up with systems youd like that does not go against open world, war pvp, grinding and youll get a much better response on this forum.

    1-40 3h
    40-52 another 3h depending on class and buffs (1-5h)
    52-61 4h-10h again depending on class /buffs
    61-75 id say 15-20h (i did it way faster selfbuffed as ol but ol is pro shiet)
    75-77 ****ing lame lvls.
    77- dino? 77-85 approx 2h/lvl (under 1h first lvl over 3 last)
    not dino? gonna take abit more time especially since youd have to wait for vit when it went out alot. not a problem for a casual player thou.

    tbh... grinding 10h/day youd take 85 in a week with no problems... 1 week. let that sink in and remember how many %(not lvls) you got in 1 week powerleveling back in the days.

    promise ill end ranting now sry.

    according to what you wrote it takes 44 hours to get to 85 (excluding the 75-77 lvl range) on the most broken mage class in lineage 2.endless mp+hp and the dino quest makes it the fastest lvling class in the game.i managed to get to 85 on my dagger in about 3 days of gameplay so thats 70 hours.and while you can get to 85 in a week the normal player would need a month to get there.
