i think every language have the same priority and maybe innova know that a high amount of german player can communicate in english. so there is no problem if they change the clientlanguage.xd
but this fact i cannot say with the most east europe ppl that playing that game. it this is not true than its only by the fact that such a lot of east europe ppl play that game and so there are more ppl that cant write and read more than noob, xaxaxaxa and some bad words :)

hmm if every language will get an own server and ppl of that lanbguage will play on that server, there will be 10 servers with lower activity than on aria^^

i m from ger and i dont need a german client or a german server^^

hmm .. if i can guess by the poor english of the gm that answered in the thread i think the people are confused that innova will open a new server for the german community. i am 99.99% sure that the gm meant that they will make a german translation of the game client (the interface) and the server side too (npc dialogues and such) for the current servers, not open a new one.

dont think ppl understand the globalization and the power of specific countries. it was obvious germany was one of the very first localized versions.

the world's most widely spoken languages by number of native speakers and as a second language, according to figures from unesco (the united nations’ educational, scientific and cultural organization), are: mandarin chinese, english, spanish, hindi, arabic, bengali, russian, portuguese, japanese, german and french.

    in that order :)

this isn't to prove anything, this is just informational.

    regards.

is there any statistic how many ppl playing on core ? im from germany and cant even tell that there more as 200-300 germans on core. these ppl or better said the major part of them wont restart. i can see the server gettin started and thrown together already because of to less players. :p

don't worry i don't agree with it either. but this isn't any mods decision to make.

    it's innova's choice.

    cheers.

actually you people must realize that creating a german server will allow them to properly advertise on german territory, majority of german people don't even know l2 exists so how can they play it ? while they can't advertise it to people who don't speak english. at the same time a lot people might find it offensive that they didn't launch german server yet they advertise it there.

also to not, most major mmorpgs except eve online has localized servers and it works out for them well..
