The way you treat your customers is horrible

hi all. i installed lineage 2 through 4game, but i was messing with the 4game's processes in task manager because i had some problems. after few hours of messing, i finally managed to install lineage 2, then wanted to play, clicked play, then it asked me if i want to update the 4game program, but regardless of what i clicked, nothing happened. so i thought it is caused by messing in the processes so i restarted my computer and it didn't help. also tried to start directly through l2.exe, but it was just crashing with a russian message that i couldn't understand. (why russian, not orcish?) so i decided to reinstall this and noticed that the download server is offline. so after hours of finding that file on my hard drive, i ran it and it said i don't have installed ms visual c++, but i've already installed it while previously installing 4game. i had no choice, clicked "install" and it's now installing and installing... either my computer and my network connection are idle. so i uninstalled all previous versions of microsoft visual c++ as you have told me and now the game works. but the lord of the rongs online doesn't work anymore. i have recently paid an annual subscription. will i get a refound? also, after spending hours trying to run the game, i've noticed it's very late and i have to wake up early tomorrow. will i get a compensation for getting not enough sleep? i guess not for both. wouldn't it be easier to just create a simple launcher without problems instead than messing with integrating it with a website and making some advanced stuff like external login?

everything is working good if your system is in good shape and condition.
also it looks you have problem with finding what you install where on your pc. thats never good.

i agree that game should be "less pickish". but well. its beta.

simple reinstall of everything would fix 90% of problems that are now being posted on this forum and your pc wouldnt be a trash bin anymore and would work with improved performance!

cry some more lol... it's a beta and even for that the amount of problems is damn low.

 

i cant play atm because of a bug, i am waiting innova launch since 2 months now, still havent been able to login, but i know what beta means, they are responsive and aknowledge the problems.

i remember some 5 years ago when i was talking with nc because my cc was rejected:
me: hey, i get fraud suspicion message...
them: we escalate the problem.
1 week passes...
me: hey, i still got that message...
them: dont push it, someone will get back to you...
1 week passes...
me: what about my problem ?
them: we esclated further the problem, someone will come back to you...
1 week passes...
me: am i gonna get some answer ???
them: we analysed your problem, it is because you are using an annonymous proxy, please stop using that...
me: are you nuts ? i aint using any f-ing proxy, and even if i did, why it took you a month to see that and why it has to do anything with my cards ?
1 week passes...
them: we will mark the problem as closed since we didnt get further feedback from you...

this lasted 6 months till i got to someone to manually approve the cc (think betty, thank you !), just 1 month before expiration. after i took another one they said no, you will have to use the old one or we will keep denying it because you use proxy.
of course, the fact i live in romania had nothing to do with it...

all works fine from first try, had no issues and it all took like 1 hour tops download + install.

 

not everyone so lucky...

sweet mother of god, what the hell people. cant you just chill the f out for once, will i get refund, will i get refund for not having enough sleep? thats probably most ******ed thing i've seen since forever. no one of people i play with had any problems whatsoever which indicates the fact that every single one of you who are experiencing problems and having issues with particular little things which leads the whole process to not responding are doing some wrong. yes, you, not innova, not god, not bad weather.

just clear everything out. both ncsoft and 4game lineage2, uninstall, delete everything there is associated with these 2 launchers and the game itself. and then do a clean install following the guide provided, if you do everything as you are told to, you wont have any problems. i have guild wars and nc god and i had no problems while installing innova's client which again ends at the same conclusion - you did something wrong. and how is this fault of community manager or developer if you fail at reading or simply following screenshots. geez just go and sleep or else u'll have a stroke or something.

 

yes man i'll clearly uninstall everything and reinstall it when they don't even provide a client download but some ******ed updater/downloader with joke speed.

 

well it does not take that long to download it tbh (of course it depends on your network provider and probably country ) , its not a suggestion to everyone, if a person reached the point where he can't do nothing anymore what else i can suggest, thats one possible solution or at least a try that i see in his case.

 

or its ur cave internet.
i downloaded the client (few mins after start) in less than a hour and thats a reasonable speed i guess having 2k ppl downloading at the same time

first of all its not your game!
second: ask nicely maybe it will run!

 

there is no need for flammings here...

as far as i know, it has been released a new 4game launcher, and when you click to update, it takes a while for the operative system to react - don't ask me why, but it must be related to the fact that several hundred if not thousands of players whom are eager to play are downloading the exact same file as we speak. and you must have noticed that the web page runs a script that verifies if both your 4game application and lineage 2 files are up to date before it proceeds in uploading the files towards the client (i don't know if the server that hosts both the web site and the files is the same, but at least i think it is).

now imagine what is like having the same server running that script a thousand times while sending the same file another thousand times... hell yeah, and it's still up and running! :3

by the way this is named beta testing for some reason. cool down, inale, exale, try again.

 

they will fix this in next few days. give em a break people. you work 8h~10h daily? well they can't fix everything in 1 day, patience and give em some time.

blame turbine coders that lotro needs few version of ms vc++ and their updater reinstalls them all the time....

 

since you have two left hands, i'm not impressed, that you even fail to run a pts on your pc.

 

all my problems are gone for now. i had them because the russian download server was offline. and why do i have to reformat my hdd after installing 4game because it corrupts my system files so most apps give crash error on exit or some files on my hdd (ex. compiled applications in delphi, rift launcher) get locked without a reason and every unlocker says there aren't any apps locking them? (yes, that happened twice, both times after installing 4game). and the 4launcher app acts like a trojan - it restarts the service everytime i disable it. my suggestion for that is: when you click "exit" in 4game, it should also close all related services.
