So basically my question is how the hell Witcher 3, Assassins Creed Unity and games like that doesnt have fps drops meanwhile this game - Lineage 2 in whatever big town/crowded locations it has huge fps drops... literally this game needs new engine no wonder people doesnt want to play a game that supposed to work smoothly not like some mega super graphic game like New Order or any other games i've mention aboved

If I'm not wrong we're using Unreal Engine 2 I think, that's very very old. In those kind of games you don't have too many people using so many skills with a lot of effects and glows like we have here, but it's true that with a new engine it would be almost lagless at all, you only need to check newest MMORPG's, but to be totally honest I doubt they will put a new engine ingame because that will mean making almost a new game from 0

if the game does still give them money... I think Blizzard is thinking or going to do something like that with WoW, at least they upgraded some graphics aswell

Blizzard is known for Wow and Wow is (or allready was) their main project which provide (or provided) them most of money.
NCSoft is known not bcuz of L2 (in Korea especially) and L2 don't provide them even 25% income.

So making L2 with new engine won't happen bcuz of:
    - losing too much money and knowing that profits will be too low.
    - in few years PC hardware will be on such level that almost everyone will be able to run L2 on max details coz hardware development is "unlimited" and it will be cheaper and cheaper but possibilities of engine created in 2002 are limited. Fact is NCSoft devs made something briliant using such old tool to make game which is still playable more than 10 years later and visually (on max details) is pretty okay for MMO game.

As I said on another thread:

If you check the earnings report for the first quarter of 2015, you'll see that Lineage 1 made 25 billion KRW more than the first quarter of 2014. On the other hand, L2 made 0,5 billion KRW less in 1Q15 (Classic + GoD servers) than 1Q14 (without Classic).

No new engine for Lineage 2 any time soon. It provides the smallest part of their current income compared to GW2, Blade&Soul, Lineage 1... even Aion is doing better.

NCSoft has to get Lineage 3 done in reasonable time and it has to be a success like Lineage 1 / L2 at beginnings or they will be bought up by a competitor.
They are not a very rich company at the moment, they make do but hungry eyes of more successful companies are watching for them to miss a step.

Why don't you learn what you are talking about before speaking?

Games aren't made on the spot, there's a huge work and investment behind, to change the game-engine would mean to rebuild the game from scratch. It would be a terrible idea financially speaking, not only for NCSoft but for any gaming company, in fact no other game has changed their game engine after development not even WoW or other massive games.

The problem is that even though L2 is built on a 10 years old engine they continuously improved the graphics to keep up with the times making the game to heavy for the dated engine.

EVE Online has made massive changes to their engine.
But yea, other than that... game companies would rather make a new game and sell it at full price again, obviously.

One of the biggest mistakes of the original L2 project was choosing Unreal 2.5 instead of a more suited engine for open world environments such as CryEngine(Far Cry) used in Aion.

I'm not. L2 was too rushed, they could've spent more 1-2 years either developing a proprietary engine like they're doing to Eternal or waiting to have access to a better engine as CE. As a result they could have a much better optmized game right now.

You think someone wondered how this game gonna work 12 years later? Not even mention, they couldn't check it back then.
