Attention: Windows Vista and Windows 7 users (Error 1073)

Now this is somewhat funny.

I had no problem with the game till I updates to SP1 and this "security" for frost.

Imagine my surprise now that I get instant crashes of clients with no actual report, game just closes by itself. Eventually I'll find a solution.

I didnt have any windows update, i just installed windows around 1 week ago i disable always the updates and now is not possible to install this security update . So since my windows is original, im just upgrading to windos 10 atm. Hopefully i wont have problems with windows 10.

 

so what will happen to us who use that facken vista? no solution?

 

Reinstall to any up to date Windows

These are not our issues, these are Microsoft requirements... Nobody will support Vista x64 anymore

 

AHAHAHAHHAHA WHAAAT!? You realize that you are telling all users with vista to buy a new windows for ~100USD? What a great way to handle customers.

 

Ask MS what to do with it, if Vista was licensing

 

there will be only more programs forcing xp/vista users to move to newer OS over time,
there is no physical possibility to maintain backward compatibility for tens of windows versions just because users doesn't care enough to fix it, either by buying or "buying".

 

yeah but vista is waaaaaaaaaaaay newer than XP. Vistas lifetime is ending in 2017, XP ended in 2014. Thats the difference, not supporting a OS that you originally did like that is a bit extreme... I mean I don't even use win vista but I still feel like this is a **** move. Since I don't want to install the new win 7 update due to software issues I can't play. That's kind of weird when no other game requires that.

 

Install Win7 x32 or Vista x32, what's the problem?

 

The problem is that I don't just ******* play on the computer. I use the computer for work and need x64.
