You're naive to think like that. It's gonna be even worse on classic. People cry all day about donors on core, when if u play classic the problem is 10x worse. But lets not ruin anyone's dreams.
Well.. If you compare now someone level 99, set r95 +4, jewels coc/r99, brooches lv 2, weapon r95 +4 1 sa, almost no skill +10, maybe a hunter talisman, maybe a hellfire.. r95 belt.. With a level 101, set +8 pvp, +12 pvp weap, abundance talisman, 7s, blessed epics (antharas, valakas, tauti, etc..), brooches lv 4-5, coc belt, skills +10-20, with pom.. The 2nd guy will pbb do 100k - 200k damage on the 1st.. and the 1st will pbb do 5-10k damage on the 2nd.. And you compare +7 eminance bow w/ crit ring, maybe set +5 +6 on classic.. Dunno if damage difference will be 20x My biggest problem with classic is that, at least from the fraps, all you see is run foward, run backwards.. press f1-f2 (attack + double shot.. single nuke + aoe nuke..) and repeat this until 1 side is dead.. If you compare to all the debuffs/evade skills that requires a rly fast reaction, imo GOD just looks to have way more excitement during a pvp than classic..
except healers, imho something good would be to add a debuff for purge like there is one for party cele, that way healers have to manage and cleanse ppl by priorities of who is more important in what moment and so also it was good when healers had to manage their mana (mana burn, magical backfire, etc) not like this besides that, agree.
Classis will be disappointment, for the people who really think it will be free of p2w, because it will be much worse than here, stop being naive and check out frapses from Korean classic after a year.
Im agree with you, but imo there is no difference between hit a guy with 70k hp for 200k( i didnt understood why people still stacking damage when they have enough already, its stupid to deal 375k instead of 200, better go for more deffensive options instead of offensive) than a guy with 1.5k hp for 2.4k, maybe the difference between 2 damages are not even close, but the end is the same, 1 shooted. About pvp mechanics im agree, god its better than old l2 in my opinion , you have to take care about rescue,sacrifice,cele,purge,ud,evasions.. god give, lets say, more complete/difficult experience in pvp than old l2.
And just imagine if there was no l2store in GOD,pvp would be so much more fun and balanced. P.S and for me GOD > old l2 in both pve and pvp .Just l2store ****** it up(god i mean).
Well for sure, l2store its really good for people that is able to donate, to get gear so easy, but also is good for people like dosen't have the money to make massive donations, i explain it from my pont of view, donators will be the same in this game with or w/o l2store due to blackmarket, so they will get the same items, but thanks to l2 store, give's the possibility to random/normal players to get endgame gear. I explain my self, tauti ring ( for example ) its something comon and usual due to l2store, you can adquire it for 8 billions, well w/o l2store tauti ring was aprox 24 billions, donors will buy it anyway, but you will not be able to farm all that money for 1 ring, thanks to l2 store you got the chance to buy it by farm. The game will be even more unbalanced w/o l2store coz with the amount of ****s that you require ( broochs/7sins/belts/talismans/weap/armor/dyes/jewels/skills) only donors would be able to buy them, and normal people won't. So l2 store has his bad part and his good one.
L2 store is ok, but they shouldn't add items like dragon jewels into it. Name/Title color tickets, gender tickets, appearances and other cosmetic stuff for couple of cents would be perfect for both sides, I'm sure every player in the server would be using l2 store. But that's just a dream, now more realistic version, L2 store is just legit way to get items, instead of doing it in blackmarket.
You guys miss the whole point of the L2 Store Business Plan. What kills a server more than anything? Exactly what BA and other clans before it has done, killing just to farm and have no competition. What makes people who have money keep putting it back into the server when its free to play? The ability to get the items from store randomly. Does a few boss jewels/talismans change the tide of anything in the grand scheme of things? Absolutely not. If anything it lowers the value of a lot of things and makes it very affordable for everyone (even people who don't donate and just farm). The plan is quite genius but you only see people who have better luck or money getting things that you don't. Life isn't fair so get used to it. 1 Tarot Card is the same as 1000. The luck that comes from it changes a lot of nothing. I saw a guy open 50k worth of tarot cards and barely get anything. Just a lot of tears flowing down some faces. The RNG is absolutely ******ed when it comes to anything.
L2 post god and pre god were two different games, so, almost all the comparitions made will be worth ****. Some people enjoy the kind of pvp on l2c and some other enjoy the one on post god. Some people enjoy the more "social game" that, as far as i know, used to be l2c. Some people enjoy more the go to " **** up people farm", difference is that in l2c you could make em drop items and in post god you make them lose money from exp boosts. Both games have their pro's and their con's and even if you list them up and one of the games have more cons than the other, some people would prefeer the one with more cons over the other just by their personal preferences.
Well the difference between blackmarket and l2store is that l2store creates items. I guess tje majority of top items comes from it. With blackmarket, you can ebay all you want but that's still the same amount of items on the server. Even if everyone ebay like mad, everyone who spends his cash won't be running around with items cause they simply don't exist. It's pointless to imagine what the game would be without l2store because it would be different anyway. The game is designed to make you spend euros in l2store, by making the reward for "normal playing" so low, or so ridiculously boring to get. I would dream of a p2p l2, where the pve would actually be rewarding and not as ******ed as the options we got now to make money
They screw people in order to profit from them, these shirts we got, came 2 weeks after final IO update in Korea. They put archers stupidly strong then add shirts to store. The example that was mentioned, Tauti Ring ? L2 store wouldn't have been necessary to 'fix' that huge price, if NCsoft hadn't decreased drop rate from 5% to 0.5%. It would have become trivial thing to get for anyone in active CP/clan. In terms of engagement and incentives to keep people playing, old and new, this game just doesn't have them as much as other games. Never mind stupid mechanics where you spend hours and hours of your time just to get a kick in the *** like upgrading talismans, but don't you worry, in couple of updates we'll have more of that with new rings... You can't separate the 'server' from the game, and this game, even if you take into account server politics, is just bleeding population for years. Maybe it just stopped being fun for many people.
I remembered short after GoD period at Core when most ppl had 99 lvl and basic R99 stuff and mass pvp was really fun. Just because half of ppl didnt die at few first seconds. But soon after they promoted L2 store with items as abundance talismans, shirts etc. so ppl can chop trees during pvps and be proud of it. I understand that for some point and on the other hand it had ruined a lot of fun.
What you need to see is that the reason they went f2p was to make more money than they did on p2p mode. Can't do it with only app items on l2 store.. To make ppl spend a lot, need to add brooches/shirts/etc..
