Noob friendly official server?

Hi I've recently found out about this game from some Russian streamers and really want to get into it but apparently it can be quite challenging due to PVP focus, so is f2p 4 game or official NA version more noob friendly? I would also prefer not to spend any real money on game.

About noob frieldy, there are all types of noobs.. the ones that played lineage 2 for a long time, but are just starting on server.. the ones that never played lineage 2, but already played a lot of MMOs.

Also this isn't the NA server, this is the EU server.

 

First of all make sure thst the stream that you watched it's not of the Classic version of the gamex because it's totally different, if the guy that you were watching play was below lvl 85, i'm almost 100% sure that it was from classic.
The game is "noob friendly" but don't expect to get fast level nor gear, if you want to have all the gear that this streamer has... Honestly, don't know who you were watching, but it will either take you time (lot of time) or Visa.
There should be arouns some pve clan, and those are really helpfull with new ppl, anyway, if you start to play and have any doubt, you can ask mostly whoever you find around a city or so, most of us answer if someone ask some question.

 

And 3td type of noobs ,playing l2 for ~10years and still askin what time and day re sieges..

 

I understand that its harder than other mmos, bit is this game really p2w? Because I heard you can get max gear by just playing often and not spending any money.

 

u can get all gear by playing 5years++.. actively making adena (selling pwlvl for lowbies/higher ones, playing market and etc.etc.) but dont need to forget that while u gona farm everything without $, donators gona be infront of u by longshot
im playing here for 8months got inventory of ~35b without any donations.. but to withstand donators i miss smth around 300b++ more so with my pace is 8years more ^^

and to answer your 1st question about "noob friendly" there is no such thing in low rate servers.. if u not planing to invest money to your character u will have very hard time doing even daily activities since u will be asked to show weapon and such.. and once u show that u are "noob" u will be kicked out of party without any notice

 

Do you think p2w is a bigger problem in NCsoft or Eu version?

 

Tbh what cmec1 forgot to mention is that there are 2 kinds of clans in this server..

The top clans that it's just like cmec said, you need to invest either a lot of money on l2 store or a lot of time (playin the market, sellin power lvl, farming things with cp or clan).

But there are also smaller clans with ppl with way less gear and they normally keep killing each other, without top clans hitting them (at least I think EN and BA normally don't hit them). So for these smaller clans you don't need 300b worth of items to go pvp from what I've seen. A lot of ppl from those clans going to pvp without much gear.

PS: ofc there are always ppl in top clans with not much gear (35-50b worth of gear), but it's hard to find full cps of ppl with that gear, since they'd normally get 1-2 shotted by top dds in server..

 

for mass pvp maybe, for solo ganking check jik (the star of ba) soloing parnasus hiting everything that has flag on him.. and he's proud to be "parnasus warior" like ultimated called qqbang when they 7ppl lf pvp..
but on the topic.. to be in lower clans ofc u dont need much gear.. but as i wrote before to get pt to instance (for example on 99 to get pt to kamaloka(which is mostly 100+ gathering nowadays) u will be asked to show weapon and if its not +8 r95 or above i doubt u get pt..) since 99 is very hard to reach took me 10days only making instances to make myself box 99 and 95% of those 99's run with imortal gear
