Change password means losing account

Morning!

I started this server in 2011 when i created the NewDawn Clan as DestroyerCat, a titan at that time (changed to DN when came back).
I left Botland hoping to enjoy a bot free server, but, during the tiger event, i reported repeatedly a few trains afk in strongholds areas in Kamael area and nothing happened. Then I told myself it is going down the drain like Botland so i quit after transferring clan to one of the friends that came from Botland with me. After about 3 years I heard Innova does not run an EU botland, and after checking I saw it was true, so I came back, first in Newdawn, but due to AXON's madness I got kicked and made the KittyCats clan which is now level 11, has CH and all after starting it in November.

When Classic started I bought 2 accounts there, but I had a small issue, I did not receive the promo code because during the 3 years break I changed workplaces and the email was under someone else's control. To make things worse, the current admin claims does not receive any email from innova, probably due to antispam settings. I suspect he could whitelist and all, but as you can imagine, this is a low priority issue for him and I was essentially left to try other means to recover the account.

As you can imagine, those of you that know the way support works here, I only got copy-paste answers essentially accusing me of buying the account (like anyone would buy level 85 naked char in 2015, but logic was never a strong point of innova support) and asked to prove i am the owner with pictures of small chars or tell them how many times i was banned(!?!), which also brings the question why once caught cheating people are unbanned, but that is beyond the scope of this question, which is, how to recover my account once the password will be changed? Any ideas?
Don't tell me to open a ticket, I lost hope and quit classic over the extremely poor support I got with such a simple and obvious issue, they got my money for free as i didnt play more than a few hours there out of the months I bought to get those codes according to promo.

EDIT1: I managed to change password without email, but still need to change email. Also, someone pointed out to a free code for PA so the code i was entitled to is no longer needed.

 

Yeah, and I will be asked to prove I didnt buy a naked 85 char in a copy-paste or automated answer in a week or so, which I cant prove. I have been down that way before, didnt work. I just hope someone has an idea, i already managed to change password, I thought it was needed to answer an email, but it wasnt the case (anymore). maybe someone knows how to change email without needing the old one or asking the automated support.

 

why is this passwordchange neccessary anyway? Something happend with Database?

 

happened. not with innova but on some free x5000 l2j. some login/pass was same as in innova. some peoples got "hacked" so just because of this we/they have to change pass. it's np for me. bad for those who play on "friend's account who quit this game long time ago"

 

And dont see the announcements and dont read forum because I was able to change pass without access to the original email. I thought you need to reply to a mail or something, but it wasnt so. Still, my original problem remains and it is only a question of time until I will lose access to the account somehow due to lack of access tot he email.
So, if anyone knows how to change email without waiting weeks for copy-paste answers which dont solve anything, I pay 1 bn adena in game.

Edit: I just saw that my post has been edited to hide my email address: admin@oldworkplace.ro because it should be kept in private. This is further proof all support is done by scripts here, cause for a human that would be obviously NOT a real email address, not mine at least, just an example.

 

you can change your password here w/o any problems, and you can do it's without logging to your email account.. or i'm wrong? just changed all passwords for my 4 accounts.. and not even logged to gmail/hotmail

Yes, amazingly, you can change your password once you are logged in without a need to check mail.

There were many other requirements there, something like 10-15, to prove what? That I did not buy in 2015 when I came back an account with 1.5 mil adena and a level 85 naked char, not even in event items as mentoring was not working back then? Don't we have logic for this kind of "proof"?
It is not a problem I got a lemon when I tried to get help, my problem is that many replies later my issue was not solved, nor was there any hope for that, they simply refused to send me the codes or change email in spite of all logic, completely devoid of reason, you cannot hope to get anything done when dealing with scripted "representatives", so I am not even trying.
My immediate problem has been solved with the help of the community, not only I changed password, but also got a code for 2 weeks premium in lieu of the one I was entitled to according to the promo (which I believe it may be a bug as many people said it works for their accounts too), but the fundamental problem remains. I need to change email and I am ready to reward with adena ingame any answer which will solve my problem.

 

Did innova just get hacked? Did they leaked any account informations???

When companies tell u that they gonna reset all pwd it's because they got hit by an attack

I play on the server from the beginning. I have accounts from colleagues who stopped play l2 (rather legal), I worked for them for years and now because of the lack of e-mail lost them. These are my armor, weapons etc., I feel cheated and robbed. Super, after which apply for work, it is easiest to restart your password. Good luck in online. Go with the patient server, it happens here it goes beyond understanding. After several unpleasant stories that hammered the nail in the coffin. What is a server that does not care about the safety in the normal way. How I used to play on a private server that there was not such hopeless situation here logins to the account can not even check. Incompetence at its finest.

This company has failed on so many levels.

 

Are you people serious? You put your stuff on account you have no email access thus no way to recover it if someone steals/hacks it. What's more, you were playing this way for months/years and NOW you are complaining to server staff for taking a step up in accounts security and to prevent malicious activity.

The way you guys play should be illegal if it is not already. Only way left for you is to contact your friends and ask them to move account to your email address.

I have serious doubts on how you ppl got to those accounts credentials in the first place.

 

To change password you dont need access to e-mail. You had time to do it. You didnt made new password YOUR PROBLEM!

 

The only point I don't understand is "prove you didn't buy it". I mean, you cannot prove the absence of something. The proof must always come from the side making the assumption something exists.

 

And what's illegal that fellow colleague gives an account when you stop playing?
From what I know is there another way to protect your server and you do not need to force it by interfering with the user accounts.

Have you thought about the fact that in the last period, I could not play, or even read about changing passwords?

 

If colegue would give you an accoun, he would have transfered the mail. What we have here is the case of "I was givent the acc and I can't proove it". I don't know what else to say but it ***** to be you. You should know the risks of playing on account you have no ownership of.
