Welcoming pack for new players

I think you should definitely take in consideration to introducing a Welcoming Pack for new players looking to join your server.

This is coming from a new player, and also taking in consideration where your server is today if you don't want it to close or revolve around the same community until one by one will leave and until nothing will be left, you should definitely come up with something that motivates people to actually come and play here.

also 30 day Boss Yewel Sets would help to get the Server alive ( it would also motivate players to get the real yewels once they seen the power of them )

 

Good Idea will be 3 month full pve of 0 set after reach 99 lvl no tradable that same weapon whit 2 sa pve to choose 0 enchant .That can give boost for players and in 3 month maybe they start rune to 100 lvl 500% after they need to focus and give more events for drop lover rate and reduce price rate , but more often like every week something .They can mix events put few one buy one etc .After 3 months they should have some type of eq and try to stay .PPl whit 105 lvl or 104 don't care when all will be have fast 100 when after 100 to 105 is 1,5 year exping .That resolve should be good.

 

Do you guys play the game?
There are free equipment, shots, xp runes until 85. Even the c grade jewels are dumbed down versions of epics. The R grade ones have same stats like some epics. Not the most powerful ones or suited for your class, but those are still epics. Or did you think every ring comes with 15% crit dmg?

Free pve stuff at 99? What? That is a bit far fetched. That's end game stuff, nothing to do with new players.

I understand that it is frustrating to see all those people with shiny pixels, as a newbie, but all those people worked months or years for their stuff. (Or spent a small fortune in l2store) Don't be jealous, just play the game.
Getting end game stuff and level was never easy in L2, and it is still not easy,. Try to enjoy the ride, and don't get bothered by other player's pixels.

 

Strictly personal opinion, but the game is already spoonfeeding even the worst handless players with less IQ than a disabled cactus without thorns.
- quests from 1-85, lowered EXP requirements, EXP runes
- permabuffs even if the mentor is offline
- 1h fullbuff till 94
- paulina gear with double SA and attri
- automated macros

L2 has a community with older players who know the game from the past.
The current GoD+ chronicles were made to be a "popular" game, that s why ~95% of overall L2 players are still on private servers. The playerbase does not need the "easy" PvE content, for that there are way better / newer / fancier games out there.
The essence of L2 is the PvP and the F2P microtransaction model ruins the old experience (in every other game, this is business, no point to complain about it).

In my personal opinion again, the server cannot do better in reaching out to new players, they do what they can do.
The farm events and promotions can help them with start, and the community is nice, they can find helpful smaller clans.
Besides, server is what we make it. It is our playground.

 

You think that r99 pve stuff no enchant who can't be enchanted is good ? Mate i knwo that TW 8 is better like normal set pve clean but whiteout enchant option that give any advance .That same rune 500% to 100 lvl old players have past 6 pve events when someone get 5000% exp easy whit double exp vit pots maintaining pots increase exp rune 200% in 30% value etc .I don't think that rune 0-100% broke server more they give new fighters on serv and future wars .For old person who have +8 set even TW that person is not dangerous but in pve set in 99 he can do kartia solo and reach another if they wanna and give good game play plus new frags and donate in l2 store .

Whit broke future of L2 i agreed .If they will be put buy for money items from another players this game will be top on world Auction House whit l2 store version whit all time change position whit buy and sell adena vs euro , dolars etc .That will be good idea inova can have profit example 20% charges fees .That way they will be have more more profit like they have now .

 

Blizzard tried that and failed. I would love to see RM AH, but seems playerbase is not ready yet.
Doubt Innova would risk that, besides Russia is not really famous about the capitalistic models and the game has biggest community there (excluding Korea)

 

You can't say that 2 idiots who don't care about work what thy e do can't found something .If like i said few ppl will be sit on this that will be profitable .But first need put effort on this .Time person who work whit this etc .In blizzard case that was human mistake system work well more like well profit reach roof special on WoW .Diablo 3 have that same rise income easy like 50% but stingy person don't like increase staff who resolve problem that why FBI take care of that and next court after put Real Money AH blizard don't care about PR and Customer service that finish court sentences in Eu is different maybe not in UK but all Eu country have trade law better like in US .That mean setup this and take care off check will be rly easy .But they can defense simply way use pay-pal and that will be all .In case off blizard income from WoW increase 300% when they use RM AH.Plus lot off ppl start play and that grow up server .I don't will be calculate few human mistakes like FAIL of RM AH that is my conclusion .

PS: if blizard don't refund they will pay much more in court that way next will be have easy claim after they lose money they start invest easy way to risk assessment in corporate environment plus fraud and investigate procedure .I work in City of London in fraud investigation i do this every day my boss don't care how long they don't loose in court more like 20 mln pounds next they put new procedures and they do more how long no one win (in blizard case they win in my corporate environment simply give new vacancy for person who will be pursuit this and care of they money to don't lose more ) that long they don't care about risk assessment that long if someone don't lose they don't put up new procedure vacancy and good PR and CS .That is work in world whit money don't care what you sell toilet paper or draconic bow 12 how long something have value that long ppl buy and sell that give profit and that is all .

 

Yeah pve set is garbage, but PvE weapon 2 sa isn't that bad.
Kartia is a group instance. The ability to solo it should be an achievement, and not given to everyone. L2 is not a solo game. Why is it a problem that newbies need to group up to complete a group instance?

So I am on the same page, as Scubba: There is enough stuff for new players.
The problem is that most newbies are comparing themselves to players who played for years or spent thousands of euros, and they want to be on the same level without any extra effort. How is that fair? (Note: I started 4 months ago.)

Awaken level xp runes are l2store items. I would love them to be free some day.

 

without or with enchants pve gear for whole 3months would mean noob can exp faster than old players.. now to reach 99 if have spent some dollars(20e is more than enough) u can in 4days (only with pa and marph scrolls) with some exp rune and outside kartia/baylor grinding u can make it in 1-2day, 100 in 2weeks extra and with those pve gears ppl would run kamaloka's 2x solo( no matter if it takes 1h to clear) for 50% daily on 99 can be 2days to 100 also..)
and old ppl leveled way way longer with those kartias with 20b xp when solo (now its 250+++ only pa+marph), i guess u didnt play when god just opened with no soh no gf no atelia no instances (only kartia/spezi) and etc.. where 95 was achievement not like now 4kartias and u have 95, on 98 ppl with runes 100%(there was no 200 ones)vitality and such when soh just came out ppl were grinding 4-5%/hour



to the autor stop whining and go play the game.. until 95 u are more than geared to play the game and enjoy it.. after 95 well dont like quit no one forces u to play here.. but if u want something put some effort in it. i started bit more than a year ago (with few long breaks (3x of 2+month each) i have gear worth ~130-140b and i didnt spent a dime here so everything is achievable here just need patients and some brains in that bucket you call head ^^
