This is a question for the CM, are there plans for the opening of the server to have events running or is it going to be normal vanilla gameplay for the first weeks?
+1 event offering some kind of boost to drops/buffs/exp would be nice for starter and possibly convince few ppl would be good to discuss that matter before server launch.
We planned to make it "vanilla", but I'm open to suggestions. We won't be able to craft new content as it's mainly devs' job, but some community activity is discussible. Like... Idk, celebrating first awakening.
maybe accidentally pull power plug from server, so it will restart and then automatically spawn compensation npc in each town? speaking seriously, i understand you are highly dependent on koreans and other above-game-stuff, but please highlight to ppl in charge, that current shape of Helios will be too hardcore for casuals from EU in terms of gearing/growth (Skelth as example) and that L2store is highly arguable solution for that problem.
Give us an alternative and less painful way to level till 40, or at least 20. Draft a "journey map", spawn some low level raids across the world, post it, and watch havoc unleash. EDIT: don't say you can't, you can, when the first eu server opened we had lots of help with (ok, not raids) various quest monster spawns by gms all the way till level 40. I know this new server is not charity but business as usual, but at least make an effort instead of deploying "random_event2009.bat"
1-85 is such a drag xD i would like to skip it but at the same time it's a good part of the game. Damn lucky ******** who will take all the rbs on sv start xD i wish they could spawn some manually gradually 500 ppl gna camp for shadith etc X.X
Am I missing something? As far as I know Classic is as hardcore as it gets It means clean, without any additional features
The quest mobs will be watched and spawned if necessary - this is already in the server launch plan. But spawning extra raids isn't "an event", imho. Killing a raid isn't necessary for completing a quest line and last time I checked there's already plenty of raids 25-40 on the map: https://l2wiki.com/Raid_Bosses
Call it what you want, but it was a suggestion to make the game more enjoyable for the players, at least during the *insert time period* of server start. If you deem that to be "unnecessary" just because it's not part of a quest line then...I honestly don't know what you expect to hear from us? - "Please start one of those "x" soulless, boring and mundane events that we have done millions of times before" ? You are opening a new server, invest time and ideas in it. As a L2 player you should know by now that most of the people will be re-re-restarting for the xth, they want faster xp, drops, pvp. Do it - what's stopping you? Time? Legal agreements with Korea? Lack of manpower? Saying that there are "plenty" of raids and linking us a list, that most of us here know by memory,is a cheap reply. Considering above a thousand players, those several raids will be gone with a blink of an eye and remain dead for hours. I honestly suggest listening what people have to say in here, you will lose a lot of players in the first month, simply because of the nature how things go with these "new server openings". So I see no reason in being conservative with your actions and staying "vanilla". At the very worst you won't be able to retain players, at best you will at least gain respect and positive karma for (AT LEAST ONCE) doing things out of the ordinary. This might keep some players longer, which might result in "prettier" numbers during a financial report - which, judging from all these years, is all L2eu team cares about (but hey, don't feel bad, everyone is doing the same)
