We are a few parties of ppl that are looking forward to play here. However, we have heard a bunch of complains related to the P2W status of these officials servers. Here goes the real deal, the big question Is: Considering we all have Premium Accounts and we play everyday lots of hours... Do we still need to pay LOTS OF MONEY monthly at L2store to stay competitive? And that means Olympiad/Sieges/Raids. We do not plan to pay things at l2store, maybe a thing or two that we think It Is essential but we do not plan to spend 50€+++++ on L2Store when we are ALREADY PAYING for a premium acount. Depending on the answer we may or not play here, thank you.
People will tell you that you will need thousands/month to be "competitive". Which is not a lie but it's not the complete truth either. People don't know the difference between competitive and overpowered and if indeed you spend thousands you will be overpowered. You can be competitive by staying ahead with lvl, with numbers and general raids/instances. You will find lvl 3, 4, 5 jewels on the open market and you will be able to buy a brooch with adena/ge. Joining a good clan and beign active in that clan will ensure you stay at the top. Trolls will make you believe that there will be players with 5 lvl 6 jewels in their brooch running around in their +10 PVP sets and their +15 PVP weapon and with their full eipcs. Although you might get the isolated ***** spending over $20k, you will find that they spend that much because he either doesn't have time to play 10h/day or he doesn't have the "hands" to play his char(myself included). Plus, having 5 (i'm exaggerating) of these high spenders in a population of 2000 it's like drop in the ocean and no char is overpowered enough to kill an entire party by itself. This game can still be played and enjoyed with a PA and a rune here and there, as long as you have an active group. Give it a go.
Depends who you want to fight.. there are always the crazy donors that will get brooches lv 5-6, full gear.. and without donating a lot of l2 store or farming the server on top clan and getting lots of good drops, you won't be able to fight them.. but there are always ppl with lower gear, non-top clans, or non-top cps on top clans, etc..
If you are planing to be in a top clan dont bother coming, you will need to donate a lot more, for a mid level clan is okey. You wont have a chance on oly for heros if thats what you want, to have fun yeah.
Not an entire party , but an entire cc , and the guy who did it wasn't full geared. Just an example (this guy is full geared tho , but missing at that time the brooch rapsodies) : This is the best answer you could get.

You could get exemple from vllm doing it, 19th has fraps of it as well.. But I guess ppl like advocad didn't play for a long time and don't know the game well..
I was in the same clan with vllm. As i said: a few guys among a few hundred/thousand a drop in the ocean.

I was thinking about vlm at Kelbim but he doesn't had fraps about this QQ. Exactly like Taka said , vllm opened skill and pressed multiple arrow, 50 ppl died. Vlm only had lvl 4 brooches so imagine on lvl 6 brooches and brooch rapsodies. If you guys don't know what brooches can do , you'll be surprised , good luck in oly.
I don't know what the hell is this circlejerk with the video of iAvatar but I will break it down to all of you so people can understand it finally: 1- This is NOT the current state of the game anymore, that was done during IO update, when archers where the top 1 DD (like now) but having way way more powerfull 101 skill than now, currently it's nerfed and there is no way an archer can hit you like that 2- The guy in the video is overleveling his enemies, most of people in RG (the clan he is hitting) were at those times level 100-101, very few of them maybe 102 (like 5-7 max) 3- The guy is overgearing their enemies really hard, he had almost every single item in the game back then (I would say if not most stacked archer, for sure top 3) when his enemies didn't have 7s talismans / abundances / pvp sets even most of them / brooches 5 4- Their enemies were scattered all around siege area because we had full action going on in aden those moments, there were people trying to break our flag (show in this video), we had people trying to go inside cresting room and in the other side of castle, and people couldn't follow action properly, so those left behind around our flag just died there w/o their parties (you can check no one did pt ud / pt rescue to counter the 101 skill, simply cuz tanks weren't there at all) 5- Can someone with brooch rhapso and hero zerk do the same vs people w/o pvp set? of course they can, but that's not how it's going to be in the new server, or at least not for the first 1+y for the simple reason people will catch up faster in defensive gear and to get offensive gear it's harder than before And to answer OP's question if it's possible to play vs top pt's w/o donating, yes it's totally possible, I would recommend 1st 1-2 months maybe to play with 200% runes from l2store not to fall behind in matter of levels if you want to stay competitive / unlock top level content ASAP and that's all you will need, and maybe some brooch packs to get brooches 3/4 and should be more than enough for first 6 months. Next update you can make levels easier so I doubt after 1-2 months you will need many xp runes (you will get probably same even Core will get right after update, when you log in and get some xp runes/scrolls) Your only problem will be to catch up with top spenders, but there will be probably 1/2/3 per clan so they can counter each other, if you can play a lot you will be able to do 97-98 / 101-103 bosses and try to make a lot of adenas or AQ's / anakim-lilith / dragons / gainak and farm adena from there to gear up, you don't need to spend money at all in order to be competitive, maybe at some point when new l2store promotion comes you might be left a bit behind but at some point if you keep going you can fastly catch up Hope this brick helped
Yes indeed game changed , you can even die when you are close to full stacked vs top stacked archers under brooches rapsodies. About catching up , you're True for sure since in one month everything will be available in L2 store. To this Russian , you're probably worst otherwise I don't find the reason Russians are coming here while they could play against top players in esthus
