L2 store investments going where?

Why is a new game under innova eu domain being opened?(RF online) Is this where investment of our l2store is going to? Didn't you, fragola, say that these l2store events keep the server alive on and with scheduled maintenance? Why is a new game being opened to take out more resources of your platform? Resources that, as was put before, are needed to keep server online.

Innova's store is super agressive, and money hungry the past 2 years, to open a new game? to go into development of projects unrelated to our concerns??

 

why you care about others money? better look at your wallet and think how much $$$ you can spend for this game

 

I am not sure I understand your problem.
It is a forprofit russian company. Whatever they gain they will invest in reaching wider market, more paying players.
New game, new playerbase, more income.
Probably the only limitations are the ones from license contract.

 

My problem is the excuse as to why we need such ridiculous l2 store to begin with. When asked previously, it was to maintain server, but obviously it's not? Why are dragon weapons needed? Why is the store so expensive? Why sell such overpowered items?

Is this game gonna easy the l2store? Not that there's anything to ease as the harm to server is done. This L2store got more than 2/3 of playerbase out of server, so why is there needed another game to fill that hole? Innova/ncsoft kill a game for the rise of another. It's such disrespect to the customers who put money in this server.

 

Customers do not put money to the server, they buy a service. Noone is forcing them to pay.
Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you, those amounts are just a bad joke. But as long as it is profitable for the company, the business dictates to maintain the current state.

 

This is not innovas or ncwest fault but players. Pre-GOD and even on the start of GOD there was no such an overpowered l2store. But theycstarted testing, how much can they put into l2store before players rage. Now look at the result. The game is dead because of that and yet they still keep incredible profit from the leftovers of players buying l2store. If people didnt buy it like mad fuks they would just think of something different. We did it to outserlves. Thats it.

 

Give stupid ppl opportunity and they will milk themselfs.

Terrible analogy.

Phones are but expansions of previous versions which enhances the consumer's quality of life, essentialy something akin to blizard's WOW where you pay for expansions or better yet Diablo 3 in which u enjoy all content bought till new expansion. A new game not related to l2 that doesn't benefit anyone playing here won't improve my quality of gaming.

basing on what i saw on twitcon, they prolly pulled few mill to advertise there, including live 30vs30 battle events and dozen of smaller stuff + paid streamers
worth to mention l2revolution did break some monthly sell records in korea/worldwide

game is still horse shiet, but for sure in better shape than PC L2 ever been in last years.

1) Innova isn't an Lineage 2 publisher exclusively. They have tons of the games, be it NCsoft or not.
2) It's no-one business where they invest their money. As scuba said, they are for-profit company. They invest in what will bring in more cash.

Innova can't do much for the game other than profit from it. Only NCSoft can develop stuff with the money from L2 Store or from licensing L2 to companies like Innova.
Can't blame them for focusing on a mobile game though, that market is huge and potentially very profitable, but L2 needs some love too since people are still willing to spend tons of money playing on dead servers.

Obviously you don't, but you pay license fees to NCSoft in order to run L2, and a part of NCSoft earnings is invested to new games/projects.

Also EU community is THE MOST toxic community out of all regions in MMO. Im surprised someone still does anything for EU. Low profit comoared to other regions and a lot of negative feedback + QQ.

For all the money L2 generates despite it's small player base devs should do more.
I mean cmon stupid bugs like dispa exist for years w/o a fix, bots and p2w are killing the game for so long but NCSoft keeps widening the gap between players with broken events.
I love how this guy @akaaWins thinks he knows how the community is in every region(NA,EU,RU,JP,CHINA,TAIWAN) and that @CM Fragola likes his post, what a joke.
The only thing I demand kid @Rahen is that L2 or at least our servers don't end up with 50 players, 10 pixel collectors with 50k chars and 40 people who only like to slap NPCs.
